Marvel Comics has created several characters who are pastiches of DC’s Justice League, including Power Princess, who is clearly inspired by Wonder Woman. In a stunning cosplay, @wwaudrey_cosplay showed off her own take on the Squadron Supreme’s Zarda, bringing the character to life in a look inspired by her most recent – and most significant – role in the recent Heroes Reborn event. Ultimately, the Power Princess cosplay is comic-accurate perfection.

The Squadron Supreme first appeared in The Avengers #85 by Roy Thomas and John Buscema and was initially created as Marvel’s pastiche of the Justice League. The roster featured Hyperion (Superman), Nighthawk (Batman), Doctor Spectrum (Green Lantern), Whizzer/Blur (The Flash), Skrullian Skymaster (Martian Manhunter), and more. A few different versions of the Squadron Supreme exist from other universes, with the original roster hailing from Earth-712. In the recent Heroes Reborn event, the team became Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a universe created by Mephisto and Phil Coulson, where nobody remembered the Avengers. When that universe crumbled, the Squadron Supreme’s members, including Zarda, had their memories combined with their Earth-616 counterparts. The Squadron Supreme is still active, as Power Princess recently killed Doctor Spectrum to gain his powers as they tracked down Hyperion, who was with Red Widow.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

On her Instagram account, wwaudrey_cosplay shared her take on Zarda, as her cosplay seems to be based on the most recent version of the character from the Heroes Reborn event. The comic-accurate look brings the Power Princess costume to life, as it has key gold details throughout the look, including her headpiece. The Zarda cosplay also has her Utopian Uru metal gauntlets and shield. It’s also possible Power Princess is wielding her invisible blade, the No-Blade, and we just can’t see it. Like the character, the look and weapons feature elements inspired by Wonder Woman.

One of the best touches from the cosplay comes from the Instagram post itself. wwaudrey_cosplay tagged Utopia as her location, the home planet for Power Princess. All-in-all, Zarda looks like she’s straight out of the Heroes Reborn comic, which is one of the highest compliments we can give the stunning cosplay.

Power Princess isn’t a household name, despite playing a major role in the recent Heroes Reborn event. So, to see the character gain more recognition following the event’s completion and getting her own cosplays is really awesome. @wwaudrey_cosplay t did a fantastic job bringing the Wonder Woman-inspired Power Princess to life with the stunning cosplay.
