The Avengers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will look strikingly different going forward, following the epic conclusion of Avengers: Endgame. Before the next iteration of the superteam assembles in a future MCU flick, artist Stephen Byrne (Wonder Twins) imagined what they would like in an incredible piece of fan art that assembles the Avengers in an extravagant group shot.

Avengers: Endgame saw a number of key players such as Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow story’s wrap up, as the final chapter of the Infinity Saga saw the good guys defeat Thanos – but at a significant cost. There hasn’t been an Avengers movie or television series since Endgame, but the future of the giant franchise couldn’t be brighter. A handful of new recruits, including Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and the Eternals will all make their debuts next year. Before that happens, Byrne conceptualized what a future Avengers squad might look like with all the new additions – and it’s pretty awesome.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Byrne posted a new piece of art on Twitter, which is a group shot of Marvel’s future Avengers. In the shot, you can see some familiar faces such as Thor, Doctor Strange, Professor, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Spider-Man. But, the image also includes some new heroes and familiar faces taking on the mantle of heroes. Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Shuri’s Black Panther, Kate Bishop, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Shang-Chi, and Miles Morales’ Spider-Man can all be seen standing alongside each other in the image. It’s a fun tease for what’s to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe of the future.

It’s an incredible piece by Byrne, who imagines what the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might look like going forward. The new Avengers team will unquestionably be different from the iteration fans are used to, which is very exciting as the universe and heroes can be taken in a completely new direction. With these heroes leading the charge, Marvel’s future is in good hands.
