Megan Fox is happy about the result of her divorce from Dancing With The Stars alum Brian Austin Green after a judge signed off on their legal documents earlier this week. Megan, 35, and Brian, 48, who share children Bodhi Ransom, Journey River, and Noah Shannon, had an on-off relationship before finally calling it quits after a marriage of nearly 10 years. Although they finalized their divorce settlement on Tuesday, February 8, the ex-couple has been living separate lives for about two years.

When the Jennifer’s Body actress and Brian first announced their split in 2020, the Beverly Hills, 90210 actor said of the breakup, “It sucks when life changes and something that you’re used to, that you’ve been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change.” Brian added that he did not wish for him and Megan to be at odds, and he did not want to lose the friendship they had throughout their 15 years together. However, since 2020, the exes have moved on with new spouses.

Megan’s romance with Colson Baker, best known as Machine Gun Kelly, sparked up in 2020, and by the end of January 2022, the new couple announced their engagement. Brian, for his part, moved on with his girlfriend, Sharna Burgess, and the pair is about to become parents. Megan and Brian have been enjoying their new romances until their divorce was eventually finalized. After the divorce settlement, a source revealed to Us Weekly that Megan is pleased with its outcome. The insider said, “Megan has moved forward with her life and is pleased with the outcome of the divorce settlement.” The source added that the 35-year-old actress is “thankful for the guidance she had during the divorce from her attorney, Laura Wasser.”

More information from the source revealed that Megan and Brian did not have a prenuptial agreement. In California, that means anything they acquired during their 10-year marriage would be shared 50/50. However, the ex-couple, who has been co-parenting since their split, will have joint and physical custody of their boys, just as Megan wanted in her November 2020 divorce filing. With the divorce over for good, Megan has also changed her legal name from Megan Green to Megan Fox.

Megan’s engagement to Machine Gun Kelly and the fact that Dancing With The Stars alum Brian is expecting a baby with his girlfriend Sharna means the exes divorce settlement is indisputably beneficial. Although there have been no words from Brian so far, he would also be pleased with the divorce settlement. Megan and Brian have co-parented their three children effectively since their split and amid their budding new relationships and will continue to do so now. Many celebrity divorces have ended up being ugly, but the former couple has handled theirs well and should be commended for that.
