Bachelor Happy Hour and Becca Kufrin finally have a permanent new co-host for the podcast, and it’s former Bachelorette Michelle Young. Michelle was the most recent Bachelorette to hand out roses, and now she remains happily engaged to her final 1 Nayte Olukoya. Becca, the long-time host of the Bachelor Nation podcast, also ended her Bachelorette season engaged, but her true fairytale ending came from her stint on Bachelor In Paradise where she met her current boyfriend Thomas Jacobs.

Through a revolving door of co-hosts, Becca has been a constant staple of Bachelor Happy Hour, but she wasn’t behind the mic from the start. The podcast debuted in July 2019 with former leading ladies Rachel Lindsay and Ali Fedotowsky as the original co-hosts. When former host and mom of 2 Ali stepped down from Bachelor Happy Hour due to the time commitment, Becca stepped in. Rachel continued to host with Becca until she walked away from the podcast in April 2021 during a tumultuous time in Bachelor Nation. The 1st Black Bachelorette received overwhelming hate after her Extra interview with former host Chris Harrison eventually led to his permanent exit from the franchise. As Rachel prioritized her wellbeing and said goodbye to Bachelor Nation, Becca was the only Bachelor Happy Hour host left standing. Since the Extra host’s exit, the podcast has had a variety of Bachelor/Bachelorette alums temporarily fill in, and most recently Serena Pitt served as co-host to recap Clayton Echard’s Bachelor season.

Now, Michelle Young has landed the Bachelor Happy Hour gig and will bring her past experiences to the mic. The elementary teacher talked to People about her new hosting job, saying,“Having found love on The Bachelorette, I’m excited to share my perspective and keep it real for the passionate fans of Bachelor Nation.” Becca will still be along for the ride as Michelle joins her in recapping Bachelor, Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise and giving exclusive behind-the-scenes details to their listeners. “I can’t wait to kick it with Becca each week as we dive into the twists and turns of these upcoming seasons,” Michelle said about her fellow Minnesota native.

The former Bachelorette’s first episode of Bachelor Happy Hour will launch on March 22nd where listeners will be able to catch up on Michelle’s life with Nayte post-show. Bachelor Happy Hour is one of three official Bachelor Nation podcasts. Click Bait with Bachelor Nation is hosted by Joe Amabile, Natasha Parker, and Tia Booth, and Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation is led by Mike Johnson and Rachel’s husband Dr. Bryan Abasolo.

From her appearance on Clayton’s finale and an upcoming Celebrity Family Feud episode to now co-hosting Bachelor Happy Hour, it seems Michelle may become the new poster child of Bachelor Nation. Many regard Michelle as one of the best Bachelorettes for the way she handled the overwhelming role with poise and humility and ended her season with a picture-perfect engagement, so it’s fitting that she was chosen as the franchise’s newest podcast host. But it’s yet to be seen whether Michelle will be able to juggle her increased involvement in the Bachelor and influencer world and her day job as a teacher in Minnesota, which she had been previously vocal about wanting to keep. Her co-host Becca has been criticized in the past for being too nice and not wanting to have opinions that go against the Bachelor powers that be, so hopefully, Michelle will deliver on her promise to “keep it real” on the podcast.
