A dedicated Minecraft fan has recreated Slave 1, Boba Fett’s iconic starship from Star Wars, and apparently the ship can actually fly. Thanks to the ongoing Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett, the armored bounty hunter has recently been placed back into the spotlight. Mojang’s survival sandbox title provides fans with the tools to construct massive Star Wars builds in Minecraft, resulting in tributes to heroes and villains from throughout the galaxy far, far away.

The Book of Boba Fett acts as a spin-off of the beloved Star Wars show The Mandalorian, switching focus to the franchise’s original unstoppable bounty hunter. Boba Fett first made his debut in 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back, with his impressive armor design and fascinating profession making him an immediate fan-favorite. The Book of Boba Fett picks up after the character’s appearance on The Mandalorian, while also providing flashbacks revealing how he survived his apparent death in 1983’s Return of the Jedi. The character’s on-screen resurrection has led to many homages, with one fan even bringing Boba Fett to Red Dead Online using the title’s in-depth character creator.

In honor of everyone’s favorite jetpack-wearing gunslinger, Reddit user patatasuper has built Boba Fett’s Slave 1 in Minecraft. While the iconic Star Wars vessel only makes minor appearances in The Book of Boba Fett, it’s unique vertical design has made it just as recognizable as its beloved owner. The Slave 1 build floats high above a superflat Minecraft map, and patatasuper even claims that the build is capable of moving through the air. While the creator did not provide video to show off this high-flying feature, the build itself accurately captures the unique design of Boba Fett’s ship.

The Star Wars franchise is filled with iconic starship designs, ranging from Boba Fett’s imposing Slave 1 to the notoriously noisy TIE Fighter. Many gamers pay tribute to the sci-fi saga by recreating these spaceships, with one particularly determined fan recently completing a Star Destroyer build in Minecraft. The enormous Venator-class Star Destroyer was the flagship of the heroic Republic during the franchise’s Clone Wars era, though it also served as a prototype for the terrifying Imperial Star Destroyers seen in the original films.
