Minecraft Dungeons is stuffed with Zombies, Skeletons, and Creepers just begging to be cut down. The primary gameplay loop revolves around collecting weapons and building the perfect warrior. For many players, a perfect warrior is a fashionable one.

Standing out on the battlefield is just as important as dominating. One sought after item in the community is the Hero Cape. Many players want it, but some are confused about how to get their hands on it. Here’s how to get the Hero Cape in Minecraft Dungeons.

Cosmetic Items in Minecraft Dungeons

Cosmetics are a great way to express a player’s personality and to make a character stand out. These items are collectible and plentiful. They come in the form of skins that can be exchanged at any time through the “Change Skin” menu, and physical items that can be found during gameplay.

These items are purely for design and style purposes. They hold no value in terms of defense or strategy for the player. Keep in mind that these items will be covered up by the majority of armor pieces found in-game. Select the inventory and navigate to the “Cosmetics” section to exchange items at any time.

The Hero Cape in Minecraft Dungeons

The Hero Cape is a cosmetic item that somewhat resembles Superman’s iconic cape. It is a sought-after item that unfortunately can not be found in game. Unknown to some players, the Hero Cape is actually a bonus gained from pre-orders and special edition purchases. The Hero Cape comes automatically unlocked but players who have purchased either Minecraft Dungeons Hero Edition or the Hero DLC. Currently, this is the only verified method of obtaining the cape.

Players using Xbox Game Pass can still gain access to this DLC. They will need to go to the Xbox Store and search for the game. There will be an Add-Ons tab containing the Hero Pass. Purchase this pass and restart the game. The cape will now be found in the inventory.

Similar items can be found in-game such as the Hammer Cape, Iron Golem Cape, and Sinister Blue Cape. These items are also unable to provide any buffs or defense capabilities. They can be paired with armor to add a bit of much-needed character to the base skin templates. Players are encouraged to play around with various cosmetic items from time to time. This increases the overall experience of the game and can be used to set advanced players and their friends apart.
