An ingenious Minecraft inventor came up with a Redstone-based design for a self-assembling railroad, which dynamically disassembles itself after use. The red dust known as Redstone, which is the counterpart to real-life electricity, has been used by fans to create numerous bizarre and fascinating structures.

The player shared a video of a self-assembling railroad between two underground stations, and the incredible accuracy of the smoothly working mechanisms is hard to believe. It’s not even the core concept that’s impressive, but the fact that the user was able to get it working this seamlessly. It’s common knowledge that Minecraft railways tend to break if pushed by pistons, and according to the player, it took careful timing and a lot of testing to make the project operate as intended. Apparently the build uses brand-new piston designs that have never been seen before. The author promises to share a world download and a tutorial video once the build is further improved and polished. According to MisterInSayne, it is more of a proof-of-concept, which the builder plans to use for a work-in-progress puzzle map.

Although using Redstone in Minecraft in almost any way takes considerable skill, greater results can be achieved with properly programmed mods. Modifying the vanilla client with additional features is like discovering a whole new universe of possibilities, as demonstrated by a recently invented art-making machine in the form of a TNT block.
