Minecraft Surgery Mod Lets Players Have Abilities Like Teleportation

A strange yet entertaining new mod for Minecraft, called the Chest Cavity Mod, allows players to open their own bodies and make adjustments. Since its launch in 2009, Minecraft‘s emphasis on creativity and player freedom has resulted in a large number of complex creations. The game’s mod community has also grown exponentially, with countless fun and innovative modifications now readily available for download by players.

The Minecraft community is filled with talented creators and programmers who have used their talents to make specific improvements to the sandbox title. For instance, one Minecraft fan-created mod, allows players to convert MS Paint art into three-dimensional structures. The build was made using a number of the game’s programmable Command Blocks.

The hottest new mod for Minecraft, made popular by a video from YouTuber TommyInnit, allows players to switch around the contents of their chest cavity. The mod, titled Chest Cavity Mod and created by modder TigerOfTroy, allows players to craft a Chest Opener tool with which they can crack open their own chest. The Chest Opener can also be used on other players, animals, and monsters allowing the player to harvest their organs and bones. Acquiring better organs and bones can enhance the players’ abilities, and some monster and animal components can grant the player supernatural abilities. For example, taking a Llama’s organ allows the player to spit aggressively, an Enderman’s organ grants the ability to teleport, and a Blaze can allow players to spit fire.

Alongside creative mods, players are constantly building breathtaking structures and artworks within the base version of Minecraft. One player has used the blocky title to recreate the Dueling Peaks, an iconic landmark from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. According to the creator the Dueling Peaks were recreated over quite a long period of time, and they have also created other Breath of the Wild iconography within the world of Minecraft. Another player paid tribute to everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, by constructing an enormous bust of the DreamWorks icon.

More than a decade after its first launch, Minecraft continues to be a source of imagination and creativity for players around the world. The game gives players the tools to build whatever they desire, and modifications further expand the possibilities of what can be achieved. The Chest Cavity mod is based on an admittedly odd premise, but the highly detailed execution of the idea is respectable. Stolen superpowers, and the ability to harvest other players’ organs, is sure to create endless fun for any Minecraft player.
