Although Minecraft offers a variety of tool tiers, the most basic, wooden ones rarely spend more than a couple of minutes in players’ inventories, as brilliantly highlighted in a recent video. But the disdain for these flimsy tools isn’t just limited to one player. Footage by a different player has gone even further in exploring the game’s features by uncovering the mystery behind Villagers’ silly behavior.

A talented Minecraft modder has recently envisioned what’s hidden inside a Villager’s mind, and they did so in the most ridiculous way possible. After teleporting in the poor NPC’s head, the gamer stumbled upon picturesque nonsense unfolding in the character’s mind chambers. The hilarious mayhem was completely emerald-themed with shiny green monsters lurking around and weirdly dressed Villagers appearing here and there. A couple of flying emerald blocks and gems were also featured in the video, completing the scene of comical meaninglessness.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Redditor ALionWithStripes shared a hilarious Minecraft video, which underlines the sad purpose of wooden tools, basically labeling them useless. In the footage, the player crafts a full set of tools, which is somewhat surprising considering no one ever needed a wooden hoe in their life. Funnily, the gamer only uses the pickaxe to mine exactly three blocks of cobblestone at the nearby cave entrance, using the collected materials for a more efficient stone tool. Right after that, the second-tier pickaxe is used to mine enough stone to upgrade the whole line of utensils, after which the player takes it to a naturally generated lava pool and gets rid of every single wooden tool. Although silly and funny, the video nonetheless highlights the undeniable futility of basic wooden tools, that rarely serve any useful purpose.

A different, more inventive kind of video montage has been recently shared by a different Minecraft player who put on display their amazing parkour skills. Not only the gamer demonstrated masterful command of jumping moves but also edited the recorded gameplay to seamlessly change between the title’s distinctive biomes. Basically, the talented freerunner managed to jump across the entirety of Minecraft, making their way through various environments and realms.

While the latest Minecraft video shares a common thought that wooden tools are no more than an annoying step in players’ early progress in the game, they nonetheless exist for a reason. If it weren’t for them, gamers would have a much harder time starting the process of survival and exploration. Additionally, even after many hours of gameplay, there’re unexpected moments of despair when a tool is needed but the inventory only holds a few blocks of wood. In that stance, wooden utensils might still serve a purpose by offering immediate salvation. Or, at the very least, they can be burned as furnace fuel.

Minecraft is available on all platforms.
