Minecraft’s Ocean Monuments Get Opulent Makeover From Creative Player

A creative Minecraft player has once again impressed the community with a lavish ocean monument. Minecraft is a popular voxel survival and crafting game that has maintained a high degree of popularity in the decade since its release due to the unlimited possibilities it presents to its players. Minecraft is also kept fresh and interesting by intermittent updates such as the recent Caves and Cliffs Update Part Two which came to the game last year.

Although Minecraft was originally released as a survival game, much of what continues to hold the interest of loyal Minecraft players is the opportunity to stretch creative muscles that otherwise might not see use. Amazing and beautiful builds are shared with the internet every day on Reddit and other social media platforms. These builds range from recreations of real-life architecture and representations of things from the real world, to restaging scenes from movies and other video games, even as far as creating a replica of the planet Tatooine in Minecraft.

Today, MagnitudeMarshmallow, a Minecraft player on Reddit shared their incredibly luxurious build of an ocean monument with the internet. The build retains the standard block palette of the regular ocean monuments in the game by only making use of Prismarine and Sea Lanterns. The six photos which constitute the post the monument was shared in give a view of the build from all exterior angles, showing off the building’s magnificence in its entirety.

The mansion’s interior has not yet been decorated, but hopefully, when it is, that too will be shared on Reddit for the internet to enjoy. Regular ocean monuments are rare structures located in deep ocean biomes. Although they do not contain chests, the monuments are not without their uses as they are the only place players can obtain sponges, and one of only two places where Prismarine can be acquired. They also come protected by Guardians and Elder Guardians, so divers should be sure to show up prepared for a fight if they plan on plundering the monument for resources.

Amazing builds are a stable of the Minecraft community on Reddit.
