Halloween is a great time for games to include some special events and free goodies, and in a game with “monster” in the title, players can be assured the goodies will be more than worthwhile. During the next few weeks, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is putting on a spooky festival in honor of Halloween called Fun Fright Fest. This three-week-long celebration includes special events, new log-in bonuses, new décor, and a set of exclusive armor for both the player and their Palico. Players can take advantage of everything this festival has in store from now until November 5.

The pieces for the new Demonlord armor set, exclusive to this event, require the player to collect regular and VIP Fun Fright Tickets. These are rare crafting materials that can come from simply logging into the game each day the event is active and from completing Limited Bounties. There are five pieces in the set, and players can also build the second layered option. Here’s how to unlock the Demonlord armor in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

How To Unlock The Demonlord Armor in Monster Hunter World

To get the Demonlord Armor and its layered style, players are going to need quite a few Fun Fright Tickets. They will also need some other resources, like Dragon Blood, Elder Dragon Bone, and Deathweaver Membrane. To get Fun Fright Tickets, players will need to take advantage of the daily log-in bonus and complete as many Limited Bounties as possible. To collect the remaining resources, they’ll need to hunt specific monsters.

There are five pieces in the Demonlord armor set: hair, cloak, blackarm, belt, and boots. Here’s what players will need to craft each.

The layered option can only be crafted using VIP Fun Fright Tickets, so players will need to continue to complete Limited Bounties and log in each day to collect as many of those as possible. That set requires 25 VIP Fun Fright Tickets to craft.

Players should also save some regular and VIP Fun Fright Tickets to help them craft the Frankie armor set for their Palico. It’s less expensive than the Demonlord armor and turns a player’s best friend into a miniature Frankenstein’s Monster. The requirements are Fun Fright Tickets and Dragonbone Artifacts.

Players should note that the only way to obtain the Demonlord armor set, Frankie armor set, and the Fun Fright Fest event itself, is through the Iceborne expansion. Those who opted just for the base Monster Hunter: World game can partake in the separate Astera Autumn Harvest Fest, which runs at the same time. Their exclusive armor set will be different.

Monster Hunter World is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
