Warning! Spoilers ahead for Moon Knight.

A new piece of Moon Knight fan art imagines Marc Spector as a cow wearing the ceremonial armor from Khonshu’s temple. Following WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If…?, and Hawkeye, Moon Knight is the latest MCU series to debut on Disney+. Jeremy Slater serves as showrunner of the six-episode series, which is directed by Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab’s team, including Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Oscar Isaac stars as Steven Grant/Marc Spector alongside Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly, the late Gaspard Ulliel as Anton Mogart/Midnight Man, and F. Murray Abraham as the Egyptian god Khonshu.

Moon Knight follows Steven Grant, a gift shop employee battling Dissociative Identity Disorder, which manifests itself by turning him into the mercenary Marc Spector. In the series’ first two episodes Steven discovers Marc’s life-saving pact with Khonshu, who now uses their body as an avatar. This situation is further complicated by Arthur Harrow, a cult leader determined to resurrect the Egyptian goddess/demoness Ammit. While escaping one of Ammit’s jackals in episode 2, “Summon the Suit,” Steven mistakenly dons the dapper suit of Mr. Knight rather than Khonshu’s ceremonial armor. Now, a fan has imagined Khonshu’s avatar in another, even sillier form.

A new fan poster shared by u/whatamelonofficial on Reddit imagines Moon Knight as “Moo Knight.” As wordplay would indicate, the piece replaces Khonshu’s ceremonial mask with the head of a cow. Check it out below:

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige promised fans that Moon Knight would remain true to the comics and embrace its gritty, dark, and brutal tone. As evidenced by the amount of blood in the pilot episode, the series is remaining true to Feige’s word. Despite this seeming departure from Disney’s traditionally more “family-friendly” content, Moon Knight also includes plenty of Marvel Studios’ signature humor thanks to Isaac’s performance as the unassuming and confused Steven Grant. However, Moon Knight is unlikely to capitalize on the low-hanging fruit that is a “Moo Knight” joke.

Coming off of its second episode, Moon Knight is already a hit with critics and audiences alike with an 86% critics score and a 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Episode 2 ends with Marc and Steven in Egypt as they attempt to aid Khonshu in the mission to thwart Ammit’s plans to purge the world. The latest trailer for the series teases a fight between Marc and Arthur and sees Steven in some sort of facility. The first two episodes of Moon Knight are now streaming on Disney+ with new episodes premiering every Wednesday.
