Producer Grant Curtis says Moon Knight‘s Marvel Cinematic Universe future possibilities are endless thanks to his transition between tones. Oscar Isaac is leading the cast of Disney+’s latest MCU series alongside Ethan Hawke as the villainous Arthur Harrow, May Calamawy, F. Murray Abraham, Gaspard Ulliel, Lucy Thackeray, Antonio Salib, Rey Lucas and Fernanda Andrade. Moon Knight marks the latest small-screen chapter in Phase Four of the MCU after WandaVision, Loki season 1, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, What If…? and Hawkeye.

Moon Knight will mark the MCU debut of Marc Spector, a mercenary living with dissociative identity disorder who has become the human conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. As Spector copes with his various identities, including mild-mannered gift shop employee Steven Grant and street-level detective Mr. Knight, he must also learn to control his powers as the titular vigilante in the hopes of saving the world from cult leader Arthur Harrow. With Moon Knight‘s premiere just around the corner, those behind the series are already looking to what the future could hold for the character.

While speaking with Collider for the upcoming series, producer Grant Curtis opened up about Moon Knight. When asked about the character’s MCU future, Curtis believed the possibilities to be endless for Oscar Isaac’s hero based on his performance as well as the hero’s ability to navigate a variety of tones and studio head Kevin Feige’s desire for more. See what Curtis shared below:

“What I will say is this: because we delve into so many interesting tones in the tapestry we eventually weave together with this show, the action-adventure globetrotting, the bump in the night horror aspects of it, the mental health character study, the humor, I do think wherever [Marvel President] Kevin [Feige] wants this character to go in the future, I don’t think there’s any corner in the MCU that that Moon Knight cannot inhabit naturally. And that is a testament not only to the character on the page, but the character that Oscar Isaac brings to the screen. I would take this amazing cast with me. And if it can’t be this cast in the future: People, and artists-men, and crafts-women, who are at the top of their game, just like Oscar [Isaac], Ethan [Hawke] and May [Calamawy] are. That makes my job so much easier when these actors.”

As Curtis notes, studio head Kevin Feige has long desired to bring Moon Knight to the MCU before the development of the series and is clearly confident in what the future could hold for the character. Various cast and crew for Moon Knight have praised Feige and Marvel Studios for the creative freedom they allotted to those behind the show during its development and the faith they had in the actors themselves. Given Feige’s desire for more of Moon Knight and the tone-jumping nature of Spector’s various personalities, Curtis’ tease that his MCU’s future possibilities are endless should create a sense of excitement for what’s to come from the character.

Curtis isn’t the only one to share their thoughts on what Moon Knight‘s MCU future possibilities are, with Isaac expressing his hopes for the Midnight Sons to make their way to the franchise. With Doctor Strange already introduced in the MCU and Mahershala Ali portraying Blade in the future and Gael García Bernal reportedly leading a Werewolf by Night Halloween special, many have continued speculating the possibility of the supernatural superhero group finally getting their due in lieu of a new Avengers team. Only time will tell what’s to come when Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.
