Here’s the voice cast of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, including which characters they play and a breakdown of their past roles. Scorpion’s Revenge is the first feature-length Mortal Kombat film following the 1995 live-action cult classic and its failed sequel, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. It’s also the first adaptation of the video game to get an R-rating, despite being an animated Warner Bros direct-to-video release.

Featuring a number of classic franchise fighters, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge sees the titular character out to get payback on Sub-Zero for murdering him and his son, Satoshi. The film also includes the likes of Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and many others.

Scorpion’s Revenge boasts a cast with an extraordinary background in voice acting, ranging from video games like Marvel’s Spider-Man to anime series like Dragon Ball Super and animated shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender. Here’s exactly who they are and where you know them from.

Patrick Seitz as Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion

Patrick Seitz reprises his role as Scorpion, the classic ninja and one of the faces of the Mortal Kombat franchise, for the fourth time since he took up the part from Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe in 2008. His most famous roles include the pirate Franky in One Piece and Jiren the Gray, one of the main antagonists in Dragon Ball Super.

Joel McHale as Johnny Cage

The host of The Soup grew in the hearts of the fans of the popular comedy series Community as the charismatic Jeff Winger, sharing the screen with comedians Donald Glover and Chevy Chase. He portrays the fictional egocentric Hollywood actor Johnny Cage in Scorpion’s Revenge, who – like in the video games – enters the Mortal Kombat tournament believing that he’s joining a film production.

Jennifer Carpenter as Sonya Blade

Jordan Rodrigues as Liu Kang

Jordan Rodrigues played Lady Bird’s adoptive brother Miguel McPherson in the award-winning Lady Bird. He was also one of the leads in the Australian television drama Dance Academy and the supernatural Hulu original series Light as a Feather. Contrary to Johnny and Sonya, Liu Kang wilfully prepares for the Mortal Kombat tournament in Scorpion’s Revenge.

Steve Blum as Bi-Han / Sub-Zero

Steve Blum is most famously known for his deep voice and his portrayals of the Wolverine in Wolverine and the X-Men, as well as the terrifying Orochimaru in the Naruto series. He reprises his role from the Mortal Kombat games as the first version of Sub-Zero, Bi-Han, who kills Scorpion and his clan – prompting him to seek the revenge on which the film is centered.
