My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Why Heather Cursed Chase’s Unborn Child

TLC viewers and My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans were surprised when Heather Sykes decided to curse Chase Severino’s unborn child in the latest episode. Heather basically said what everyone thought when they heard the news of his cheating scandal.

TLC fans are still coming to grips with the fact that Chase turned out to be a loser in aluminum instead of Whitney Way Thore’s knight in shining armor. It was revealed over the summer that the two reality stars had broken up because Chase had cheated on Whitney during the lockdown and gotten an old flame pregnant. He was set to be the father of a baby girl in October.

But thank goodness for best friends. Fans of My Big Fat Fabulous Life watched as all her friends stood by her side on the latest episode when they all drove by her Charlotte house to cheer her up with a carpool birthday caravan. Since learning of his infidelity, Whitney has slipped into a dark depression where she started to experience panic attacks. Luckily, Buddy Bell was there to stay with her through quarantine.

But the best friend award has to go to Heather, who on national TV decided to curse Chase’s unborn child. Whitney caught up via Zoom chat with Heather and Andrea to fill them in on the news. Andrea, who is a mother of one, told her friend she didn’t know whether to be upset with Chase or congratulate him. But Heather had a firm stance, and while she stated she had nothing against Chase’s unborn child, she did tell cameras, “but f**k your baby.” The other two women were shocked by the outburst, especially since Whitney said she did not blame the baby or the mother.

While it may have been a harsh sentiment on Heather’s side, fans tended to agree with her and support Whitney. There had been rumors that the network may have paid Chase to be her boyfriend last season, but fans pushed those thoughts right out the window when they saw how upset Whitney was during her confessionals. It was heartbreaking for fans to watch as the dancer broke down and was at a loss for words while she tried to explain that she was mourning the loss of a relationship and mourning the loss of her future.
