The show My Hero Academia is relatively new to the world of anime, but it’s quickly become one of the biggest shonen series out there. Viewers who follow Deku’s journey to becoming the next Symbol of Peace are treated to a huge and interesting cast of characters, suspenseful storylines, and plenty of action–so it’s easy to imagine why they might want to see the universe get even bigger.

Although fans are unlikely to ever get any anime crossovers with this series, it is fun to consider what would happen if Deku and his classmates ever crossed paths with some of the other major players in anime.

10 One Punch Man

One Punch Man and My Hero Academia both take place in societies where superheroes and superpowers aren’t just normal, but they’re genuine career paths. For that reason, it would be interesting to see how the different heroes from each of these worlds would get along with one another. It’s probably safe to say that the heroes from the My Hero universe would be just as mystified by Saitama as anyone in his own world. That alone would lead to some highly comical interactions.

Team-ups between characters would also make for some exciting action scenes — the kind viewers would expect from a big event like a crossover. After all, who wouldn’t enjoy seeing both groups of heroes take down villains together?

9 Naruto

Naruto is one of the biggest shonen anime of all time, and although its story appears pretty different from that of My Hero Academia on the surface, it does have quite a few things in common with the newer series. For one, both of them are coming-of-age stories that follow kids training to pursue their world’s version of the most coveted career path.

Of course, Ninjas from Naruto sometimes take on some jobs that are a tad morally questionable, something that could make a crossover with My Hero interesting. Would the two casts get along with and learn from one another, or would they detest each other on principle? Either way, a collision of their stories would be entertaining.

8 Pokémon

My Hero‘s characters are used to fighting villains (and sometimes each other) using their Quirks. What if they had backup in the form of Pokémon? That would certainly make for some interesting fight scenes, especially where Pokémon types and powers would complement My Hero characters’ Quirks. Of course, that’s not the only reason Deku and his friends would fit into the Pokémon world.

The motto of both these anime series is to “be the very best,” even if My Hero has officiated it quite as much as Pokémon. Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki are always trying their hardest to be at the top of their class, so it’d be fun to see them try to become the best Pokémon trainers.

7 Talentless Nana

Talentless Nana has a lot in common with My Hero Academia at first glance. Both series follow a class of students with supernatural abilities they’re training to use, supposedly for the good of society. Of course, Talentless Nana takes a darker turn than My Hero, revealing that the students have actually been sent to a secret island in order to get rid of them. Society fears their powers and wants them gone.

And honestly, it would be interesting to see how the teens from Talentless Nana would fare in the My Hero world — or vice versa. If Nana’s victims were given the chance to grow at an actual school for heroes, they’d learn to use them properly and grow as people, two things fans don’t see them accomplish within the confines of their own anime. Likewise, as much viewers would hate to see anyone from Class 1-A get hurt, throwing the My Hero characters into a setting with more mystery would be interesting to watch.

6 Attack On Titan

Unlike many of the other anime on this list, Attack on Titan has very little in common with My Hero Academia — and that’s precisely why a crossover between the two series could be so much fun. For one, the characters from My Hero have yet to face anything quite as threatening or devastating as Titans. It would be interesting to see how they’d fare in a more dystopian world, and whether or not they’d change at all.

Similarly, the characters from Attack on Titan have been constantly fighting for their lives, and it could be fun to throw them into a magical school setting and let them actually be teenagers for a while.

5 Dragon Ball

A crossover between My Hero and Dragon Ball would attract tons of anime fans, if only because both series have huge followings and great action sequences. Unfortunately, the Dragon Ball characters would be incredibly overpowered pitted against anyone from the My Hero world. So, for this crossover to work, one set of characters would need to be leveled up (or down) to balance things out.

Still, watching these casts go head to head — or fight side by side — would undoubtedly be an experience, especially since both anime know how to tug on viewers’ emotions while doling out epic fights.

4 Jujutsu Kaisen

Fans of My Hero Academia have seen the anime’s characters go up against other Quirk users, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see them use their Quirks to fight something a bit more supernatural? That’s exactly what a crossover with Jujutsu Kaisen would offer, along with another fun dynamic between magical schools.

Given that both series take place in an academic setting, it would also be fun to see how the teachers and students at U.A. High view those from Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School. It’s likely they’d butt heads with one another. With two great groups of characters, however, that could definitely be fun to watch. (Just imagine an interaction between Eraserhead and Satoru Gojo. That would be a scene for the anime history books.)

3 Demon Slayer

Like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer would give the characters from My Hero a chance to fight against villains that aren’t human — and learn some swordplay in the process. Watching Deku & Co. adapt to the Demon Slayer universe would no doubt prove an interesting ride.

Likewise, a crossover that saw Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Nezuko heading to U.A. High could be equally as entertaining. (What Quirks would they have? Would Inosuke and Bakugo scream at each other all day? There are so many possibilities to consider!)

2 Re:Zero

The credits from My Hero‘s second season show the characters designed for a fantasy AU, something that’s prompted both fanfiction and fanart as time has gone on. Wouldn’t it be interesting to see Class 1-A thrown into an actual fantasy universe though? That could be accomplished through a crossover with a series like Re:Zero.

Given how different the power sets in both of these anime are, it’s unclear how well the characters would complement one another should they meet. Of course, that’s even more reason to throw them together and see their dynamic unfold. (One thing’s for sure: Subaru would find Class 1-A’s powers impressive.)

1 Haikyu!!

Anyone who has wondered what My Hero would be like without all the Quirks could probably find the answer by watching Haikyu!! The volleyball anime showcases a cast of characters that’s just as competitive as the students from U.A. High. They just don’t have any superpowers to speak of.

Throwing them into the My Hero world for a crossover, however, could change that, adding a new class of headstrong students into the mix. It could also prompt a Quirk-based volleyball game — and that would make for an entertaining watch.
