My Hero Academia focuses on a wealth of interesting characters with unique quirks. The quirks that the hit anime series follows are usually the powerful and impressive powers that aid the characters in their fight against the evil underbellies of the city in their superhero societies.

What is much left focused on are what quirks could be used to enhance everyday life, the quirks that fans could wish for, not to engage in dangerous battles, but to make their lives less dull and just that bit easier.

Engine

The quirk of Class 1-A’s straightforward and disciplined class president, Tenya Ida. Engine gives Ida car-like engines in his calves, giving him incredible speed. Like a real engine, he has multiple gears but needs to fuel his engines by drinking orange juice.

This is undoubtedly a quirk that would be very useful in everyday life, providing users with powerful speed and making jogging a thing of the past. It would save the need for as many cars on the road, giving people the chance to run places instead of going by car but at the same speed as before. More exercise and less CO2 emissions for the win.

Whole Body Lens

This quirk belongs to Taneo Tokuda an anime-exclusive journalist that appeared in the fourth season of My Hero. The quirk Whole Body Lens is self-explanatory, Taneo can generate a camera lens from anywhere on his body, taking an image with them. He can then print out the photograph from his chest.

This weird quirk would likely be very useful in day-to-day life. Not having to carry a camera or a phone and being able to print out the finished pictures from your own body in seconds would be useful on a number of occasions. Essentially becoming a walking polaroid camera.

Anivoice

The quirk of kind-hearted and quiet Class 1-A student, Koji Koda. This quirk as demonstrated briefly throughout the series allows Koda to communicate with animals. His quirk further allows him to command the animals and learn information from them, they can be seen helping him on multiple occasions.

Most people in their lives have wished to know what their pets were truly thinking or to communicate with any form of animal they meet, so having the quirk to not only be able to communicate with animals but to also command them would certainly be useful for many people in the real world.

Warp Gate

An artificial quirk belonging to League of Villains member Kurogiri, Warp Gate is definitely one of the most useful quirks to have, for everyday life and in the superhero world. Warp Gate allows Kurogiri to manipulate black fog which acts as a portal to another location, essentially giving him the power to teleport.

This quirk would definitely be convenient for so many people, reducing travel times to instants. Apart from aiding people’s laziness, it would make places much more accessible and get rid of costs, allowing people to travel anywhere in the world.

Clean Bubbler

Another less than conventional quirk, this strange ability belongs to Number 8 Pro Hero: Wash. The quirk Clean Bubbler allows Wash to produce and control soapy bubbles from his body as well as produce powerful steam.

While there are certainly more useful quirks that would be used more regularly in reality, it would have its benefits to be able to replicate this household appliance. Quickly cleaning clothes and items on the go or as a replacement for the household laundry machine, fans could get many uses out of this unexpected quirk.

Heal

Belonging to UA’s compassionate school nurse, Recovery Girl, this quirk would be very useful for everyday life. Heal is another self-explanatory quirk, although the execution of using the quirk is what gives it its unique edge.

Planting a kiss on the injured recipient, Recovery Girl’s quirk Heal speeds up and amplifies the healing process, allowing the person to recover much quicker. For both minor injuries and more serious issues, this quirk would have a major positive effect on people’s lives, reducing hospital intake and keeping people healthier.

Half-Cold Half-Hot

The quirk of Class-1A’s reserved and focused Shoto Todoroki, this quirk is by far one of the more powerful quirks demonstrated by students and Pro’s alike across the course of the anime series. With the power to generate and control ice on the right side of his body and the power to generate and control fire on the left side, Todoroki’s quirk is versatile and useful.

While in everyday life this quirk could almost be considered too powerful, a muted, more controllable version would be very useful to users in many situations, giving users the power of both hot and cold.

Zero Gravity

Another member of Class 1-A with a powerful and helpful quirk, kind and bubbly Ochaco Uraraka is the user of this gravity quirk. Uraraka’s quirk gives her the ability to cancel the effects of gravity on both living and non-living objects. This causes the objects to become weightless and float, giving her easier control of the object or person.

This quirk would be useful even on a mundane level for moving heavy objects, making them weightless and much easier to maneuver, which would be helpful in many situations.

Permeation

The quirk belonging to third-year member of UA’s Big Three, Mirio Togata, Permeation is another much wished-for quirk. Permeation gives the user the ability to become intangible, therefore letting him pass through any tangible matter. Essentially this quirk gives Togata the power to move through solid objects, walking through walls and allowing him to absorb punches.

Another good quirk for the less active members of society, this ability would allow users to walk around undisrupted from obstructions such as walls and doors. Although with great power comes great responsibility, as this power would quite literally open a lot of doors for the wrong kinds of people.

Creation

By far one of the most powerful and useful quirks across the series but also for everyday life, Creation belongs to Class 1-A’s Vice President Momo Yaoyorozu. The quirk Creation grants her the power to create any non-living object that she can think of, as long as she understands its molecular structure. She does this by transforming the structure of her exposed fat skin cells, because of this the more she eats the more material she has to work with.

In need of something? As long as someone with this quirk can understand its structure, they can make it! A very useful quirk to be in possession of in both everyday life and in the hero world.
