If there is one point that fans of Naruto and Boruto can agree on, it is that both manga are full of overpowered characters. From Kurama to Naruto, Sasuke to Sarada, and Isshiki to Kawaki, there’s a wealth of abilities in the community that even the slightest confrontation between opponents is likely to be an incredible spectacle. In a way, the distribution of power among the shinobi in the Naruto universe assured peace through the fear of mutually assured destruction. Since Boruto #59, however, the delicate balance of power that has existed in the series has been disrupted with the arrival of Daemon.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Though Daemon is a child in body and mind, his “reflection power” makes him literally the perfect fighting machine. The power, in essence, “reflects” any intentionally aggressive move toward Daemon back at its originator. For instance, if someone attempts to punch Daemon in the face, as the opponent’s fist flies in the direction of Daemon’s face, it will automatically be turned back at the face of the opponent with the same force that was intended for Daemon. The power can reflect nearly every form of attack be it physical or supernatural.

Originally, Daemon was part of Amado’s cyborg program for Kara. He was one of a number of children purchased by Kara who were either experimented on to determine if they were suitable vessels for Isshiiki Otsutsuki, or enhanced with ninja tech to serve as soldiers in Kara’s army. Amado’s skill at transforming the kids into killer cyborgs was so impressive that two of the cyborgs he created, namely Daemon and his sister Eida were so powerful that Kara’s leader Jigen ordered them to be destroyed for fear that they would one day pose a challenge to this authority.

Jigen assigned Kara “Inner” member Boro to scrap Daemon and Eida, however, as a result of this infatuation with Eida, rather than destroy her and Daemon, as Jigen commanded, Boro instead brought them to his secret base and put them into cyrostasis. After most of Kara was killed off, Code, the last surviving Inner member of the Kara, located Boro’s facility looking to release Eida to help him carry forward Kara’s mission. After Eida was released, she had Daemon released as well. Daemon immediately jumped on Code after his release and Code, who had never met Daemon before, was about to attack. Eida counseled Code against making any negative movements at Daemon, as that would most likely end in his death. Code was a little surprised but deeply intrigued at the potential of Daemon as a comrade in the fight against Naruto and Boruto.

While the full extent of Daemon’s powers has yet to be revealed, based on what he has exhibited so far; it seems that few if anyone in the NarutoBoruto continuum will be able to defeat Daemon under normal circumstances.
