This weekend, Netflix is adding a limited documentary series, a drama movie, the spinoff series of a popular animated TV show for adults, and two (very different) action thrillers. As the coronavirus pandemic continues, cinemas around the world are bringing back a sense of normalcy by staying open and operating as usual, allowing studios to release all those movies that had to be delayed and inviting the audience to return and enjoy these movies. However, streaming platforms continue to be the go-to for many, and in Netflix’s case, it keeps its subscribers entertained by adding new licensed and original content every week, for all ages and tastes.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Last weekend, Netflix brought season 4 of Good Girls, season 7 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the Argentinian thriller Refugiado, Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, and the action thriller London Has Fallen, along with the docuseries The Andy Warhol Diaries, the final season of The Last Kingdom, and Shawn Levy’s sci-fi movie The Adam Project. This weekend, the streaming giant will welcome the movie One Piece: Strong World, the action crime drama A Walk Among the Tombstones, and the biopic The Butler.

As for original content, Netflix will add a limited documentary series, a drama movie starring Grant Gustin, a Swedish action thriller movie, Big Mouth’s spinoff series, and a thriller movie starring Lily Collins and Jesse Plemons. Here are the best movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this weekend – March 18.

Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives

Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives is a limited, four-part series that explores how Sarma Melngailis, the celebrity restaurateur, went from being the queen of vegan cuisine to being known as the “Vegan Fugitive.” Shortly after meeting a man named Shane Fox on Twitter in 2011, Melngailis begins draining her restaurant’s funds and funneling the money to Fox after he cons her into believing he could make her dreams a reality – from expanding her food empire to making her beloved pitbull immortal –, but only if she continues to obey his every request without question. A few years later the couple, now married and on the lam after stealing nearly $2 million from the restaurant and its staff, are found holed up in a Tennessee motel by law enforcement. Their undoing? A charge made under Fox’s real name, Anthony Strangis, for a Domino’s pizza.
