Since Netflix has purchased the rights to adapts the Chronicles of Narnia, there has yet to be word on when production will begin, as well as who might be involved in the creation of the project. Additionally, it’s unknown whether the adaptations will come in the form of movies or a series.

Three out of the seven novels C.S. Lewis wrote have already been brought to the screen in years past, with adaptations of The Lion, the Witch, and the WardrobePrince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Little information on whether the new movies or shows will be a reboot or a continuation of what is already canon, but considering the time that has passed since the last release it seems safe to assume that a new beginning will occur.

8 Noah Jupe – Eustace Scrubb

Noah Jupe’s talent is clear to any who have seen his work so far. He is young, but already he’s committed himself to making great art. Any doubt of his talent may be quelled by a viewing of Honey Boy, one of his most recent projects. He’s close to the right age for a convincing portrayal of Eustace Scrubb, the Pevensie children’s obnoxious cousin, who was played by Will Poulter in the original cast. Through a trip to Narnia in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader (as well as two later visits in The Silver Chair and The Last Battle), he learns to be less selfish and more brave and considerate of others.

7 Millie Bobby Brown – Jill Pole

Millie Bobby Brown is young, but she’s already in high demand. She played the spirited Enola Holmes in the movie of the same name, and she’s perhaps best known for her award-winning portrayal of Eleven on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. Perhaps her working relationship with the studio could lead to another collaboration in the new Narnia adaptations. She’d make an excellent Jill Pole, a spirited and capable young woman who finds herself involved in the Narnian timeline in The Silver Chair and The Last Battle.

6 Freya Allan – Lucy Pevensie

Many may recognize Freya Allan from The Witcher, where she plays a young princess with a secret power. Perhaps her working relationship with Netflix could culminate in another role, as Lucy Pevensie, the youngest of the Pevensie siblings. Not only does she match the description of Lucy from the books quite well (though she may be a bit older), but she’s skilled at portraying a youthful character on The Witcher. Lucy’s arrival in Narnia kicks off the events that lead to peace and freedom in Narnia after hundreds of years of winter brought on by the White Witch. Lucy’s faith and kindness serve her well and save many people, and she eventually is crowned as a queen of Narnia. Next to Edmund, she appears in the most Narnian adventures.

5 Louis Partridge – Edmund Pevensie

Those who have seen the recent Netflix release Enola Holmes may be familiar with Louis Partridge. He’s close to the right age for portraying Edmund Pevensie, the second youngest Pevensie sibling whose arrival in Narnia gets himself, his brother, and his two sisters in a great deal of trouble. Edmund begins as an angry teenager, and quickly meets the White Witch, causing him to go further down a dark path.

His is a story of redemption, however, as he is eventually rescued from the Witch and reunited with his family, and eventually reigns as one of the kings of Narnia. Edmund appears in The Lion, the Witch, and the WardrobeThe Horse and His BoyPrince CaspianThe Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The Last Battle.

4 Ella Balinska – Susan Pevensie

Ella Balinska’s talent reached a wide audience when she starred alongside Kristen Stewart and Naomi Scott in Charlie’s Angels, the most recent reboot that premiered in 2019. Her beauty and talent as an actress make her the perfect fit for the ever-practical and kind Susan Pevensie, the oldest Pevensie sister and the second oldest of the siblings overall. Susan’s adventures in Narnia begin with her sibling in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and she also appears in The Horse and His Boy and Prince Caspian.

3 Tom Holland – Peter Pevensie

Due to his portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tom Holland is hardly in need of an introduction. His convincing performance in these films makes him perfect for Peter Pevensie, another adolescent who finds himself involved in a great and dangerous plot in which others ask of him to be a hero. Peter eventually reigns as High King of Narnia, with his siblings as fellow king and queens, and his reign sees an end to the White Witch and the beginning of the Golden Age of Narnia. Peter shows up in The Lion, the Witch, and the WardrobePrince Caspian, and The Last Battle.

2 Dev Patel – Prince Caspian

It’s difficult to describe what makes someone appear regal, but Dev Patel has whatever quality that is. The critically acclaimed actor also has an easy likability that translates into all of his roles. These qualities make for an excellent Prince Caspian, the titular character in the fourth book of The Chronicles of Narnia. He also appears in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair, though in the latter is an old man near death.

1 Elizabeth Debicki – Jadis The White Witch

In The Magician’s Nephew, Jadis is described as being inordinately tall, stately, statuesque, and beautiful. This immediately brings to mind Elizabeth Debicki, the stunning 6’3″ actress from Australia. She’s been in numerous films and played in roles that have showcased her range and talent. There’s no doubt that she would make an excellent villain as Jadis in the movie or series, the last Queen of Charm and the White Witch of Narnia. Jadis is accidentally taken out of her world by Digory Kirke and his friend Polly Plummer in The Magician’s Nephew, and is set loose in Narnia through another series of unfortunate circumstances. Her evil actions give cause for the Pevensie siblings to come to Narnia in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and she’s certainly the most compelling villain of the series.
