This guide will provide info for finding and obtaining this fun, new technique.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Izuna Drop Fist is a sword and fist technique that can be used on an opponent out of Ki. Players will grab an enemy, jumping high into the air with them. After reaching the apex of the jump, both the player and enemy will flip upside down while spiraling toward the ground until contact is made with a huge bang. The stun window is pretty long, as the opponent falls limply with their head plastered to the ground. Fans of this technique might recognize it from Naruto as one of Rock Lee’s earlier techniques. Of course the OG user of this move would be none other than Ryu Hyabusa from the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series.

How to Unlock the Izuna Drop Fist in Nioh 2

To unlock this move, players have to first obtain The Art of Combat: Izuna Drop. Having the DLC installed is a must in order to get this technique so make sure that it’s fully downloaded before attempting to get this technique. Of the new missions offered, players will be looking for “The Dragon Clan” mission. Of the many Demon Hunters in Ancient Kyoto, one of them happens to be the renowned ninja clan known as the Hyabusa. Players might recognize this name from Team Ninja’s other franchise Ninja Gaiden. Ryu Hyabusa is the heir to the Hyabusa clan in modern times and faces off against both demons and humans alike. For this mission players will fight against Ren Hyabusa, using a sword and his fists for combat.

Ren Hyabusa will start the fight off with a surprise attack so prepare to dodge or block. He’s incredibly fast so any items that can slow down enemies or boost the player’s defense will be exceptionally helpful for this fight. Switchglaive’s are recommended for this fight due to their power, range, and versatility. Watch out for Ren’s fire spell that tracks its targets. Players will notice a lot of similarities in Ren’s techniques and fighting style to Ryu’s over the course of the battle. After defeating him, a few purple items should drop including The Art of Combat: Izuna Drop. Once obtained, players should be able to check their sword and fist techniques and see that the skill is now available.

Nioh 2 is available on PlayStation 4.
