A fanmade edit of Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s latest poster has allowed audiences a glimpse of a team-up between Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men. Initially planned as a sequel as early as 2017 but not officially beginning production until August 2019, Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be one of the largest Marvel films throughout the franchise due to its multiversal elements. The film intends to bring in Spider-Man characters from both the Garfield and Maguire eras, such as Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, and Willem Defoe’s Green Goblin.

Whilst the film will reportedly focus on plenty of these multiversal elements, most of Holland’s supporting cast from his previous two Spider-Man films will return, including Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Zendaya as MJ, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. Additionally, other MCU characters are set to make an appearance to continue the franchise’s connectivity, such as Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and his mentor Wong, portrayed by Benedict Wong. Rumored to make their on-screen returns as the Spider-Men are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who will reportedly team up with Holland to take down the multiverse-traveling supervillains that have jumped into the MCU.

Instagram user, zerologhy, recently shared their own version of the upcoming film’s latest poster release. Whilst the official poster only featured the newfound supervillains that Holland will face, this fan-edited version instead showcases Maguire and Garfield swinging alongside the younger Spider-Man as they all prepare to fight this twisted version of the Sinister Six. Each of the villainous members shown still remain, including Doc Ock’s robotic arms aiming for the three heroes and the Green Goblin approaching them from behind on his glider.

Throughout the entirety of the film’s development and marketing, audiences worldwide have all reported that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would return for the upcoming Spider-Man film, despite the details never being confirmed nor denied by Kevin Feige or the film’s cast. During several interviews, Andrew Garfield himself has only provided cryptic answers to questions about his return as the character, only adding fuel to the fire of audiences awaiting his return. Furthermore, the leak of allegedly authentic videos of Garfield in his Spider-Man suit on set added more hopes for the returns of the iconic Spider-Men.

Having a visual representation of the possible crossover that can have ground-breaking repercussions for the cinematic universe only highlights how amazingly positive of an idea it truly is. Not only would three fan-favorite portrayals of the same character be able to share the screen together, but the nostalgic effects of the earlier Spider-Men would only further appeal to audiences worldwide and create a strong sense of positivity for the film. Audiences can only now wait in anticipation for the return of the Spider-Men as Spider-Man: No Way Home releases in theatres on December 17.
