Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a platformer that offers a lot of tools and has levels designed in such a way to handle players using them to the fullest of their ability. This sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest released in 2015 is full of collectibles and combat encounters that put the skills of the player to the test.

In Ori and the Will of the Wisps, players will often have to revisit areas once they have unlocked new abilities or spirit weapons if they want to find all the collectibles. One of these collectibles, the Energy Cell Fragment, will provide the player with more Energy slots if they collect two of them. This guide will show players where to find the Energy Cell Fragments in Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Energy Cell Fragment Locations In Ori And The Will Of The Wisps

Here’s a list of each Energy Cell Fragment in each area and where to find them:

Inkwater Marsh:

  • Located directly to the right of the tree that gives the player the Spirit Arc ability is a lift that goes up and down. Take the lift down to find a secret room with the Energy Cell Fragment inside.
  • Left of the Inkwater Combat Shrine that Opher tells the player about the player will find spinning obstacles covered in spikes. Above these spinning obstacles is a small area with that holds the Energy Cell Fragment.
  • From the spot where the player first meets Opher, head left and drop down before reaching the Spirit Well. If the player heads right they will see a vine with a blue light on it that can be jumped off of with the Bash ability to get to the Energy Cell Fragment.
  • This Energy Cell Fragment lies at the end of a long straight area on the map to the left of the Spirit Trail End. The player must jump from a small slit on the roof of the cavern to a wall on the right. Climb up the wall and wall jump to claim it.
  • In the center of the long straight area described for the last Energy Cell Fragment, the player will see a Fragment blocked off by a door. Players will need the Grapple or Launch ability to reach the lever to open it.
  • The player will need the Launch ability to reach the area above where they first meet Opher. Use the Bash ability to jump off a projectile being spit by the worm on the left to reach a hidden room on the right.

Kwolok’s Hollow:

  • In the passage above where the player first receives the Bash ability, there will be a spot with projectiles shooting directly downward. Use these projectiles to jump onto a platform with the Energy Cell Fragment on it.
  • Swim up and into the small alcove behind the area where the player meets Kwolok to find an Energy Cell Fragment.
  • Down and to the left of the Spirit Well between two Moki is an area with two Energy Cell Fragments. The first Fragment is hidden behind a breakable wall that the player can use Spirit Smash to destroy.
  • Down and to the left of the Spirit Well between two Moki is an area with two Energy Cell Fragments. The second Fragment is lower and underwater. Dive underneath the water with a log resting on it and keep going down until hiding the secret area with the Fragment inside.

Wellspring Glades:

  • Using the gust of wind made by the fire to the left of Opher, the player can reach a hut above him that they can enter into. The player will find an Energy Cell Fragment at the bottom of this area.
  • At the edge of the lake to the left of the Moki village, the player can swim down and left to find a hidden area containing the Energy Cell Fragment.

The Wellspring:

  • To the right of the two center doors is a breakable wall that the player can use Spirit Smash to destroy, containing an Energy Cell Fragment.
  • Below the bottom door, in the area with the spinning gears covered in spikes, the player can find an Energy Cell Fragment in the bottom right.
  • In the inner area of the Wellspring, entered by the left middle door, the player can head to the top right to get an Energy Cell Fragment if they have the Grapple and Double Jump abilities.

Luma Pools:

  • In the entrance to the Luma Pools from the Wellspring, the player can find an Energy Cell Fragment lying just under the water to the left.
  • Above and to the left of the Spirit Trial End is an area where bubbles will float up towards the ceiling. The player will need to bounce off these to the top left to find the Energy Cell Fragment.
  • To the right of the Spirit Trial End, the player can jump onto the platform the waterfall is spilling out of and move left to find the Energy Cell Fragment behind a hidden wall.

Windswept Wastes:

  • At the top of the zigzag-like shape above Tokk is an alcove with an Energy Cell Fragment inside. Before heading into the sand, the player will need to jump up very high to reach it.
  • To the right of the room with the Spirit Trial Start, the player will need to swim in the sand down and left to find this Energy Cell Fragment.
  • Between the Gorlek Miner and the Spirit Well where the Diamond in the Rough quest marker appears is an Energy Cell Fragment that is in the top area of sand behind a hidden passage.

Mouldwood Depths:

  • Directly underneath the Moki that is to the right of the Combat Shrine is a hidden room with an Energy Cell Fragment inside. The player must swim down, to the right, and then up from the water in front of the Moki. Keep going up and the hidden wall will disappear.
  • In the cave system up and to the left of the Combat Shrine is a curvy underwater tunnel filled with spikes. The player should enter the tunnel from the right entrance and find the Energy Cell Fragment outside the water halfway through.

Windtorn Ruins:

  • Head down and left from the Spirit Well. The player should see a small dip on the map that has two small plots of sand. Swim down into the second one to find an Energy Cell Fragment.
