The Byrdes are fighting to finally escape their life of crime as Ruth sets out on a quest for revenge in the Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney lead the cast of the hit Netflix crime drama alongside Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, Lisa Emery, Charlie Tahan, Janet McTeer, Jessica Frances Dukes, Felix Solis, Damian Young and Alfonso Herrera. Ozark revolves around financial advisor Marty Byrde as he is forced to relocate his family from Chicago to the titular Missouri region to set up a new money laundering scheme for a Mexican drug cartel in the hopes of keeping them all alive.

Ozark season 4 sees Marty and Wendy dealing directly with cartel head Omar Navarro after the shocking murder of Helen Pierce in the season 3 finale. The two must find a way to keep the increasingly dangerous crime lord happy while under the watchful eye of his hothead nephew and lieutenant Javi and work to close a deal between Navarro and the FBI that will allow their family to walk away clean. However, with local heroin supplier Darlene Snell causing problems in an effort to revive her business in town with the help of former ally Ruth, Marty and Wendy find their plans complicated at every turn.

With just a month remaining until its return, Netflix has finally unveiled the Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer. Set to the tune of a cover of the Styx song “Renegade,” the video sees the Byrdes in their desperate final attempts to escape their life of crime, only for an enraged Ruth to threaten their plans by embarking on a quest for revenge. Ozark season 4 part 1 memorably ended with the shocking murders of Darlene and Wyatt at the hands of Javi for the former refusing to give up her heroin sales operation, with Ruth learning of Javi’s responsibility in their deaths and telling Marty he’ll have to kill her to stop her from killing Javi. The Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer points towards the devastation to come from Ruth’s quest for revenge for the death of her cousin, whom she desperately tried to pull away from Darlene’s hands in the first half of the season. Though the new trailer indicates Ruth will shoot Javi, the question remains of whether it proves to be a finishing blow or if he survives and leads to more mayhem for the Byrdes.

The biggest point of curiosity for the Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer and the episodes themselves are what’s to come from the car crash seen at the beginning of season 4 part 1. The moment saw the Byrdes on their way to meet with the FBI one final time in the hopes of finally escaping from under the Navarro cartel’s thumb, only to nearly be hit by a truck and roll over in an effort to avoid it, which is briefly seen in the new trailer and leaving many breathless of who, if any, will survive. Only time will tell when Ozark season 4 part 2 premieres on April 29.
