Adam Scott posted a photo to his Instagram of himself and three other cast members in costume for the season 3 revival of Party Down. Scott (Parks and Recreation) played the show’s protagonist, Henry Pollard, for two years alongside Ken Marino (The Other Two), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Jane Lynch (Glee), and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace). The series follows the ensemble as they work catering jobs together while hoping to make it big in Hollywood.

The original series aired on Starz from 2009-2010 and was largely written by John Enbom, Rob Thomas, Dan Etheridge, and Paul Rudd. Although the show received acclaim from critics during its original run, Starz cancelled it after the second season due to low ratings and several cast members leaving the show due to scheduling conflicts. It was announced last year that Starz has ordered 6 new episodes for a Party Down season 3 revival. A specific air date for the new episodes has not yet been set and production is still ongoing.

Scott recently posted a photo to his Instagram of himself along with Hansen and new cast members Zoë Chao (Love Life), and Tyrel Jackson Williams (Brockmire) in their Party Down costumes, complete with the iconic pink bowtie. It was announced that other members of the original cast aside from Scott and Hansen – including Marino, Mullally, Lynch, and Starr – will also be joining the revival. Another new cast member aside from Chao and Williams joining the Party Down crew is Jennifer Garner (13 Going on 30). Caplan, unfortunately, will not be joining the revival due to scheduling conflicts, but the addition of new characters played by Garner, Chao, and Williams will hopefully fill her absence, and perhaps even breathe new life into the revival. It is unknown whether Chao, Garner, or any of the original cast will serve as the love interest to Scott now that Caplan will no longer fill that role.

Whether the revival will pick up right where season 2 left off, or whether these characters will be even more weathered and bitter after years of working catering jobs remains to be seen. The original series also included several cameos from famous actors including Kristen Bell, George Takei, and Kevin Hart, to name a few. What A-list stars may make a guest appearance in the revival will be something viewers can look forward to. They may even get a sneak peek at if Scott decides to be generous with his backstage photos as filming continues on the revival of Party Down.
