The Dark Web is a special shopping location in Persona 5 Royal. This guide will help players unlock it. Persona 5 Royal takes everything that came from the original Persona 5 and cranks it up to 100. The game features all the old fan favorites like Ryuji and Futuba as well as introducing new characters like the new Shujin Academy school counselor, Maruki. Players will also interact with a new Shujin first-year named Kasumi. The player has the option to interact with both of them and build their confidants (both are required to unlock the games extra content). Players can also access the Dark Web in Persona 5 Royal and this guide will explain how.

The Dark Web in the real world is essentially the online version of the black market. From weapons to fake IDs and many other taboos and illegal items, all are available with the price of the user’s freedom. In Persona 5 Royal, the player can use the Dark Web to purchase rare and powerful items that can be helpful in and outside of the Metaverse. The Dark Web also features a loyalty program, meaning if the player spends plenty of cash here, they will unlock more items to purchase down the line as they rank up. This guide will explain how players can unlock access to the Dark Web in Persona 5 Royal.

How To Access The Dark Web in Persona 5 Royal

To unlock the Dark Web, the player will need to purchase the broken laptop from the recycling shop in Yongen-Jaya. The recycle shop is open Midday and after school so make sure to pay it a visit before it gets too dark. It’s a short walk from the cafe. Afterward, head over to Akihabara to purchase the PC Toolset. Head back to the cafe and go to the work desk to repair the broken laptop. The player will now have access to the Dark Net. The player will start on the Initial rank when starting out. If the player spends 10,000 yen, they will reach the Black rank. If the player spends 50,000 yen, the player will reach the Dark rank. Lastly, the Chaos rank requires that the player spends 100,000 yen. To reach these ranks, try and purchase every item available on the Dark Web at least once.

There is so much to do outside of the main story content in Persona 5 Royal. Players can literally spend 100s of hours trying to uncover everything the game has to offer from building relationships to unlock bonus areas and content. In the Royal version, there is an entirely new third semester that will add dozens of hours of new content. The third semester also features new story content and a new Palace for players to explore. The player will need to play through most of the original games plot to access this new content. Fans of the original Persona 5 will have no problem stepping into the shoes of the Phantom Thieves for one more adventure.

Persona 5 Royal is available now on PS4.
