Phasmophobia: How to Find (& Use) the Haunted Mirror

Kinetic Games’ multiplayer co-op horror game Phasmophobia has recently introduced several new items, such as the Haunted Mirror. These cursed items can be powerful tools to help players achieve their goals during contracts but often have dangerous drawbacks. Misusing or abusing them can often trigger ghost hunts, which can quickly lead to character deaths and the loss of items. It is therefore advisable that players get acquainted with the risks of the cursed items added in the Phasmophobia update before using them.

In Phasmophobia, players take on the role of paranormal researchers as they go on missions to figure out the type of entity that is haunting the area. To achieve this, players will need to gather clues using several items such as the Spirit Box or EMF Reader. After gathering enough information, players should be able to determine the correct type of ghost to complete the mission and gain rewards. The introduction of cursed items provides players with additional tools to complete these goals.

When players begin a contract, one of the six cursed items will spawn in a specific area on the map. Every item has several fixed spawn points on each map, and no more than one will ever spawn during a mission. This means that finding one of the other cursed items is a clear indication that the Haunted Mirror will not spawn during that contract. The Mirror is one of the easiest cursed possessions in Phasmophobia to spot due to its size, as it is quite large and requires both hands to use.

How to Locate and Use the Haunted Mirror

The Haunted Mirror is one of the most straightforward cursed items in terms of its use and the risk involved. Activating it will have players gaze into the mirror which will show part of a room in the contracted area. This is a clue as to the location of the ghost and can be useful to narrow the focus of the investigation. Using the Haunted Mirror will continuously drain sanity, and should it reach zero the mirror will crack and trigger an unpreventable cursed hunt in Phasmophobia.

Asylum

• Asylum location 1: players can find the first spawn location for this useful cursed item halfway across the west wall of the lobby as they go inside.
• Asylum location 2: if players instead head right after entering the building and round the corner on their right, they will find another spawn point tucked in the corner next to the window.
• Asylum location 3: another possible location can be found by following the corridor to the right of the reception desk. Go inside the second door on the right, aka the doctor’s office, and turn left to find the spawn point in that corner.
• Asylum location 4: the last place players may find the Haunted Mirror on this map is at the end of the corridor to the left of the reception near the light source.

Bleasdale Farmhouse

• Bleasdale location 1: to start their search for this cursed item introduced in the Phasmophobia Christmas update, players can look in the living room, to the right of the door leading to the kitchen.
• Bleasdale location 2: also on the first floor, players can find another spawn point in the southwest corner of the office, in front of a window.
• Bleasdale location 3: the last location on the first floor is in the workshop, halfway across the north wall.
• Bleasdale location 4: on the second floor, players may find the item after heading inside the first door on the left and looking directly to the left.
• Bleasdale location 5: also on the second floor, in the master bedroom to the north, the Haunted Mirror may spawn a few feet to the left after heading inside.
• Bleasdale location 6: the last spawn point on this map is located in the attic just a bit east of the staircase that leads to it.

Brownstone High School

• School location 1: the first spawn point for the Haunted Mirror in the co-op horror game is in the middle of the northwest section of the lobby.
• School location 2: it may also be possible to find it by following the main corridor to the right after the lobby, next to the right wall a few feet after the second door that leads to classroom four. If spawned, the cursed item will be under a locker that is leaning against other lockers.
• School location 3: the last possible spawn in the school can be found by instead going left on the corridor, and looking near the left wall just before turning the corner.

Edgefield Street House

• Edgefield location 1: to obtain the cursed mirror and fight the now smarter ghosts of Phasmophobia, players may look for it in the southwest section of the living room that is to the left of the entrance.
• Edgefield location 2: the second place in which it may appear is also on the first floor, in the northwest corner of the dining room.
• Edgefield location 3: if players head to the garage that is located south of the dining and look directly left after walking through the door, they will find another spawn point for the Haunted Mirror.
• Edgefield location 4: heading down into the basement, players may find the mirror by searching the wall opposite the door that leads further in.
• Edgefield location 5: players may also find it further inside the basement near the wall across from that same door.
• Edgefield location 6: the last spawn location is on the second floor, in the master bedroom on the left as players enter it, between the two doors.

Grafton Farmhouse

• Grafton location 1: to begin their search for the Haunted Mirror on this map and better equip themselves against the updates to ghosts in Phasmophobia, players can start by looking in the living room, to the left of the door leading to the kitchen.
• Grafton location 2: the second spawn point on this floor is also in the living room, a few feet across from the window.
• Grafton location 3: the last possible location on the first floor is in the backroom of the master bedroom, just across the door players walk in through.
• Grafton location 4: upstairs, players can search for the cursed mirror in the nursery to the left of the stairs, between the two windows.
• Grafton location 5: if players proceed to the right of the stairs, and go through the bedroom they will find a big storage area. The Haunted Mirror may spawn on the southwest corner of that room.

Maple Lodge Campsite

• Campsite location 1: players may find a spawn location near the entrance of this new Phasmophobia map. Head left towards a narrow path and check the blue tent on the right.
• Campsite location 2: continuing to follow that path to the left will lead to a campfire where a spawn point is located, a few steps northeast of the firepit.
• Campsite location 3: if players instead follow the path to the right at the entrance and across the central path, they will arrive in an area with two big tents to their left. The spawn location is in the storage tent to the north.
• Campsite location 4: after that, players can continue to the right towards the picnic area and proceed straight ahead to search the chair at the end of the pier for the Haunted Mirror.
• Campsite location 5: the last location is on the second floor of the cabin near the picnic area, and can be found underneath the bed between two pairs of shoes.

Prison

• Prison location 1: after unlocking this map in Phasmophobia, players will have a chance to find the item right at the start by heading to the room on the left and looking across from the doorway in the west wall.
• Prison location 2: the second opportunity is in the small reception office that can be found by turning right at the entrance and then left. If spawned, the Haunted Mirror will be to the right of the door, leaning against a cabinet.
• Prison location 3: the last location can be found by turning left after exiting the entrance into the main hallway, under a bench on the left wall.

Ridgeview Road House

• Ridgeview location 1: the first spawn location for this cursed item that helps players detect ghosts in Phasmophobia is in the small bathroom across the utility closet located after the kitchen. Players can find it by going inside and looking directly to their right.
• Ridgeview location 2: players can proceed also proceed through the kitchen into the hallway, and find another spawn point in the southwest corner.
• Ridgeview location 3: heading beyond that hallway will lead to the garage and last spawn point on this floor, tucked away in the northeast corner.
• Ridgeview location 4: players can find the stairs to the basement in the kitchen to find another possible location to the southwest of the staircase.
• Ridgeview location 5: arriving on the second floor, players may find the Haunted Mirror spawn by continuing straight ahead and looking in the left corner of the hallway.
• Ridgeview location 6: the last location is in the boy’s bedroom at the end of the hallway, a few feet north of the wall as players head inside.

Tanglewood Street House

• Tanglewood location 1: unlike newer maps in Phasmophobia, Tanglewood can be searched quickly. As players head inside, they can turn left and look for the first spawn point on the wall next to the master bedroom.
• Tanglewood location 2: the second location is in the dining room, and should the Haunted Mirror spawn there, it will be leaning against a cabinet on the west wall.
• Tanglewood location 3: the last location on the first floor is in the garage, to the right of players as they head inside, on top of some cardboard boxes.
• Tanglewood location 4: in the basement, players may find the cursed item near a mattress on the north wall just as they climb down the stairs.
• Tanglewood location 5: the last spawn point is also in the basement, and players can find it to the south, across the previous location underneath a small wooden table.

Willow Street House

• Willow location 1: the first opportunity to find the Haunted Mirror to help fight the new ghosts in Phasmophobia is in the utility room in the garage, leaning against the shelves on the left.
• Willow location 2: proceeding through the kitchen, players will find a bedroom on the right at the end of the hallway. Across from the entrance, the Mirror may be leaning against the computer near to the left of the desk.
• Willow location 3: the last spawn on this floor can be spotted in the master bedroom across from the previous one, between the door and the dresser.
• Willow location 4: heading left from there, will lead to the master bedroom in which players may have another opportunity to find the cursed item in the southwest corner.
• Willow location 5: the last location is in the basement, just to the left as players climb down, leaning against the shelves on the left wall.
