December 2021 features its own set of active Mystery Gift Codes for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The Mystery Gift feature has been a staple in the Pokémon series since the original Pokémon Red and Blue. This mechanic allows players to receive gifts directly from the Pokémon Company. These can include special items, event-exclusive Pokémon, or statues to help the player decorate their Secret Bases. Regardless, these items are completely free, but the player will need to know how to claim them first. In Pokémon BDSP, the Mystery Gift feature will need to be unlocked first.

Normally, the Mystery Gift can be accessed directly from the main menu. In this entry, trainers will need to make it to Jubilife City. This is the second main location in the Sinnoh region that the player visits shortly after starting their adventure. Trainers will also need the first Gym Badge at this point. Head back into Jubilife City and go into the TV Station. Go to the third floor and speak with the TV producer, he will ask the player a question where they need to choose the “EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION” option. He will then give the player the Mystery Gift feature.

Now that the player has Mystery Gift, they can pause their game at any time and go to the Mystery Gift option, it will be located directly next to the Options tab. Although, the menu icons can be switched to whatever position the player likes. There will be two different options available, getting a Mystery Gift from the internet or by claiming a specific code. All of these items are set to expire in the future so claim them as quickly as possible.

Every Active Mystery Gift Code in Pokémon BDSP (December 2021)

  • Platinum Outfit: This item can be claimed through the internet. It’s the outfit directly from Pokémon Platinum. It will be available from November 19th to February 21st.
  • Manaphy Egg: This item can be claimed through the internet. It is a special egg containing the legendary Pokémon Manaphy. This will also only be available from November 19th to February 21st.
  • Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar Statues: This item can be claimed by inputting the code BDSPUNDERGR0UND in the code section. It’s currently unknown when it will expire but claim it before it does. It’s worth noting the “o” in “BDSPUNDERGR0UND” is the number zero as Nintendo does not allow the input of the letter “O” to avoid confusion.
  • Five More Statues: Use code MERRYCHR1STMAS. It expires on December 25th.

These are currently the only three items available. It is likely more will be added in the future. With Pokémon Legends Arceus releasing in January, it is possible for Pokémon BDSP to host a crossover event. The Sinnoh region in the remake is even covered with hidden Arceus Plates locations to discover.
