Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl brings players back to the Sinnoh Region for a brand new adventure. Sinnoh is full of vibrant cities and wonderful characters for players to interact with as they explore the world, the first of which is Jubilife City, which players will reach shortly after departing from their home in Twinleaf Town.

As the first city in the game, Jubilife City doesn’t have a Pokémon Gym, but it is home to a number of other important locations. Along with its Pokémon Center and Pokémart, Jubilife City has the Jubilife TV Station, which broadcasts all of the shows and commercials seen on the games’ many televisions.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Jubilife TV Station has a number of exciting features that players can access throughout their game. A Lottery Ticket once per day in hopes of matching the last digits to the number of one of their party’s Pokémon, and Gym Leaders that have been defeated will be shown on the second floor. The third floor is home to the Group Ranking Room and Global Ranking Room, in which players can see how they rank against friends and players worldwide. The Mystery Gift function can also be unlocked by speaking with the TV producer on the third floor, allowing players to receive Mystery Gifts in the game’s menu. However, the Jubilife TV Station is blocked by a clown when players first enter Jubilife City.

How To Get Past The Clown In Front Of Jubilife TV Station

When players first enter Jubilife City, they’ll quickly come across the owner of the Pokétch Company, who is promoting his brand new Pokémon Watches. In order to get their free Pokétch, players must find the three clowns around Jubilife City and answer their questions correctly. Players will notice that one of these clowns is blocking the door to the Jubilife TV Station. Unfortunately, this clown won’t budge, even after the player collects their coupons and redeems them for a Pokétch.

After defeating Roark at the first gym in Oreburgh City, players must return to Jubilife City as the path north to Eterna is only accessible with a bicycle. The clown will still be in front of the TV station when they first arrive. Once players start making their way north towards Route 203, a pair of Galactic Grunts will be blocking the path, trying to coerce Professor Rowan and Dawn into handing over their research.

Players will team up with Dawn to take the Grunts down, opening the path ahead. However, after the Grunts have been defeated, the clown in front of the Jubilife TV Station will move, and players can finally access the building.
