Clauncher is one of the newest Pokemon to join Pokemon Go. This guide will show players where they can find and capture this Pokemon. As the mobile title gets closers to catching up to the mainline title in terms of the number of Pokemon available, Pokemon Go started to slowly drop new Pokemon as part of events. This makes each new addition to the game feel special in their own way. Typically, these events are tied to the mythos surrounding the Pokemon. Currently, the game is hosting its Rivals Week event, where Pokemon who have had conflict throughout the ages are spawning more in the wild. Skrelp, Dragalge, Clauncher, and Clawitzer don’t really have any negative history with each other but they are now made available because of this event. This guide will show players how they can obtain Clauncher.

The game has made it much easier to stay on top of new generational releases by dropping Pokemon individually instead of all at once. This will make Pokemon like Sylveon, the final Eevee evolution, much more special when it finally drops. Only a handful of Kalos Pokemon has made their way into the game as more are made available through future updates. Here is how players can find and capture a Clauncher.

How To Find (& Catch) Clauncher in Pokemon Go

Clauncher is 1 of the 4 new Pokemon to join the roster during Rivals Week. Here are all the ways players can obtain one.

  • Wild: Like every other Pokemon, Clauncher will begin to appear in the wild. Using a Lure Module will make it much easier to encounter in the wild.
  • Field Research: During Rivals Week, players can complete the “Win a raid” research task to encounter a Skrelp or Clauncher.
  • Raid Battles: Clauncher is currently active as part of a 1-star raid. Players can easily complete this task on their own. Make sure to check the raid tab as often as you can to find it.

Players will also only need 50 candy in order to evolve it into its final form, Clawitzer. This crustacean will make an excellent addition to any trainer’s Pokemon collection. Rivals Week will conclude on April 18th and the raid battles and wild spawn rates will likely change after the event. Make sure to stay on top of it and capture as many Clauncher as possible. More events introducing Kalos Pokemon will release in the near future.
