Pokémon GO: How To Find (& Catch) Shiny Cranidos

Shiny Cranidos has recently made its Pokemon Go debut. This guide will show players all the different ways they can encounter and capture this Shiny dinosaur. Go Fest, the biggest annual event to hit Pokemon Go recently concluded. During the event, every hour, players were tasked with completing a Global challenge. This consisted of spinning enough PokeStops or capturing a large sum of Pokemon. Since players were able to complete these challenges with no issue, Niantic has rewarded them with the Ultra Unlock content. This event comes along with a slew of powerful Shiny Pokemon like Dialga and Palkia but also features a handful of new, lesser-known Pokemon like Cranidos and Shieldon. This guide will show players how they can get their hands on a Shiny Cranidos.

The Ultra Unlock event is broken up into 3 different smaller events. The first event, Time, is centered around Dialga and functions from July 23rd to August 6th. During this time period, players will be able to find Pokemon like Magneton, Porygon, Golurk, and more in the area. Shiny Cranidos can be a bit tricky to encounter since this is the nature of all Shiny Pokemon. Finding it is completely up to chance and will determine how lucky the player actually is. Here are all the different ways players increase their chances of finding it.

How To Find (& Catch) Shiny Cranidos in Pokemon Go

Fortunately, there are a few different ways for players to find Shiny Crandios.

• In The Wild: Cranidos has its spawn rate increased during this event. Players have the chance to encounter this Pokemon in the wild in its Shiny form. To increase these chances, even more, use an Incense or Lure Module to increase the spawn rate of all nearby Pokemon.
• Raid: Cranidos will appear in 1-star raid battles. These do have the chance to drop their Shiny form. Since this is only a 1-star raid battle, it can be completed by a single player.
• Eggs: Cranidos have the chance to appear in a 7km egg. Make sure to use your Incubators only on 7km eggs that have been collected from this event. These are typically at the bottom of this list.

Overall, players will still need to have luck on their side to find Shiny Cranidos. These methods are just used to make the odds a bit easier on the player. The first Ultra Unlock comes to a close on August 6th so it will be interesting to see what the second event has in store.
