Shiny Heracross will be making its Pokemon Go return. This guide will show players how they can find and capture their own. Pokemon Go recently held its annual Go Fest event, a 2-day event centered around capturing Pokemon for a musical festival. Players were able to choose between an exclusive Rock Star or Pop Star Pikachu and unlock alternate paths for their Special Research. Along the way, players were also able to capture Shiny forms of Pokemon like Tympole and Whismur. During the event, players were tasked with completing a Global Challenge every hour. As a reward for completing all 24 challenges, the Pokemon Go community will be given a new event known as the Ultra Unlock. This event is broken up into 3 different segments and provides players with the chance to encounter new Shiny Pokemon for the first time. This is how players will be able to get their hands on a Shiny Heracross.

The thing that makes Heracross an already valuable Pokemon is the fact that it’s a regional exclusive. Typically, players will only encounter Heracross in the wild in Southern Florida, South America, and Texas. The only other way to obtain this Pokemon has been through special events, having to trade with another player who already has it, or spending a large sum of money to travel to these locations. As part of the Ultra Unlock event, Heracross will begin to appear globally in 3-star raids and its Shiny form will be a part of it. Here’s how players can find and capture a Shiny Heracross.

How To Find (& Catch) Shiny Heracross in Pokemon Go

Shiny Heracross will begin to appear more often in the game starting on August 6th during the Ultra Unlock Part 2: Space event. This is also the same event where players will have the chance to find a Shiny Palkia. The best way to find a Shiny Heracross is to participate in as many 3-star raids as possible. It will only appear globally from August 6th to August 20th. Once this event is over, it will return back to its normal region. This is not an event the player will want to miss.

From experience, the best way to find its Shiny is to play the game with friends. 3-star raid battles can be completed with 2-3 players within a party. Bringing along a Fire or Ice-type Pokemon will make quick work of it in battle. There’s only a chance for it to be Shiny so good luck out there.
