This event will run from April 29th to May 2nd, leaving just a few days to obtain Shiny Smeargle. Once the event is over, the Shiny version will be removed from the game, preventing players from capturing it until a future event brings it back. This will make Shiny Smeargle one of the rarest Pokemon in the game. Finding an original one requires tons of patience but it can be rewarding to find it for the first time. As mentioned, Shiny Smeagle will only appear in the game from April 29th at 10 am local time to May 2nd at 8 pm local time. Once the event is over, it will be removed from the game. In order to find it, players will need to take a ton of Snapshots using their camera item. Make sure to turn off the AR+ mode to make it easier to take snapshots. Now, players will just need to spam until Smeargle appears in the photo. Once Smeargle appears, it will show up on the map and players will have a chance to capture it. Finding the Shiny version will take even longer since the odds are extremely low.

Just continue to do this process and it should appear eventually. This event is increasing how many Smeargles will appear in snapshots. Smeargle will only appear in snapshots a limited number of times. Niantic has confirmed that Shiny Smeargle will appear for a future event.
