Gliscor is one of the better Pokémon that players can get in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but without the best moveset it can fall short of being offensively threatening. One of the challenges of using Gliscor in Pokémon Legends: Arceus specifically is its limited movepool, due to the game’s overall lack of diverse moves for it. This is a problem that, unfortunately, affects the viability of more than half of the Pokémon in the game, and severely limits many of the Pocket Monsters compared to their usability in other games.

Despite having its movepool drastically reduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Gliscor is still an incredible option to use because it has weaknesses to Water- and Ice-types. Furthermore, it is immune to all Electric- and Ground-type attacks thanks to its unique dual Ground- and Flying-typing. Gliscor also only receives half damage from Bug-, Fighting-, and Poison-type Pokémon moves, which means it is either immune or resistant to many of the different species of Pokémon found in-game. Gliscor also benefits from the same type attack bonus, better known as STAB, when it uses a Ground- or Flying-type move, allowing it to inflict 1.5x damage against a non-resistant opponent.

In addition to having a limited movepool, Gliscor also has a low Special Attack stat so moves like Earth Power and Dark Pulse end up being significantly reduced in overall attack power. Unlike Hisuian Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which has the ability to effectively use a mixed-offensive set, Gliscor is forced to rely upon its physical Attack stat for all of its moves. Luckily, the stab bonus can increase some of the lower-damaging moves, but ultimately Gliscor does suffer from learning mostly weaker moves offensively.

The Best Moveset For Gliscor In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

One of the features that Gliscor does have going for it in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is its above-average Speed stat. Through the use of Agile Style combat and its high-Speed stat, Gliscor can effectively attack multiple turns in a row before its opponent has a chance to retaliate. In order to make the most out of its Speed stat, the best nature for this Pokémon in Legends: Arceus is Jolly. A Jolly nature will increase Gliscor’s Speed stat while lowering its already low Special Attack stat, but the increase in Speed may help it use its weak moves more frequently on opponents before they can attack.

The best moveset for Gliscor in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is:

  • Aerial Ace – Flying-type move that benefits from STAB and deals 2x damage against Bug-, Fighting-, and Grass-types.
  • Bulldoze – Ground-type move that benefits from STAB and deals 2x damage against Electric-, Poison-, Fire-, Rock- and Steel-types.
  • Ice Fang – Ice-type attack that deals 2x damage against Flying-, Ground-, Grass-, and Dragon-types.
  • Iron Head – Steel-type attack that deals 2x damage against Rock-, Ice-, and Fairy-type Pokémon in Legends: Arceus.
