Giratina is one of the strongest Pokémon available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Giratina’s unique stats can be strengthened when it has the right nature. Giratina is one of Legendary Pokémon that can have its form changed manually, and doing so changes its stats significantly. When Giratina is in its Altered Forme, the Pokémon has improved Defense and Special Defense stats. In its Origin Forme, Giratina’s Attack and Defense stats switch values, and so do its Special Attack and Special Defense values. Regardless of its form, Giratina is always a Dragon- and Ghost-type Pokémon.

Players can find and catch Giratina in Pokémon Legends: Arceus only after the main events of the game are completed. The quest “Seeking The Remaining Plates” must be completed after players either defeat Dialga or Palkia and then Professor Laventon will give players the quest “On the Trail of Giratina.” This quest will require players to travel to the Spring Path area on the Cobalt Coastlands, where they’ll encounter Giratina in its Origin Forme. After Giratina has been captured, players will receive the Griseous Core, allowing them to change the form of Giratina whenever they wish.

Giratina’s Speed stat will have the same value regardless of its form in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Additionally, in both forms, Giratina’s Special Attack stat is the same value as its Attack stat, and its Defense and Special Defense stats have the same values as well in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Most of the Pokémon moves are centered around Strong and Agile style combat in Legends: Arceus, so Giratina’s stronger form is its Origin Forme. Giratina also has a phenomenal movepool in Legends: Arceus, and with equal valued Attack and Special Attacks, Giratina can be a great physical or special attacker with the right nature.

Which Nature Is Best For Giratina In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

If players want their Giratina to rely on its Attack stat, then they should get a Giratina with an Adamant nature. This nature will boost Giratina’s Attack stat while lowering its Special Attack stat, and it has plenty of physically offensive moves to choose from. A Giratina with an Adamant can learn moves like Shadow Force, Iron Head, Outrage, Bulldoze, Stone Edge, Aqua Tail, and Aerial Ace, giving it wide type coverage across the board.

Similar to a Hisuian Zoroark in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a Modest natured Giratina will have its Special Attack stat boosted while its Attack stat is lowered. There are plenty of powerful Special Attack moves that Giratina can use, such as Dragon Pulse, Psychic, Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, Draco Meteor, Dark Pulse, and Thunderbolt. Although Giratina has a larger number of special attacks available to it, the physical attacks have better type coverage overall.

For those who want their Giratina to have a mix of powerful physical and special attacks, they should consider getting a Giratina with a Mild nature in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. A Mild-natured Pokémon has its Special Attack raised while its Defense stat is lowered. Since most of Giratina’s type weaknesses come from Pokémon that use special attacks, lowering its already high Defense stat won’t hinder it too much in a mixed-offensive set. For the best-mixed offensive Giratina set in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players should teach it Shadow Force, Iron Head, Aura Sphere, and Dragon Pulse.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
