Hisuian Decidueye is a Grass- and Fighting-type Pocket Monster in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and its well-balanced stats can be further improved with the best nature. As many players may know, natures can provide hidden stat boosts to their Pokémon for one particular stat at the cost of another’s growth. This mechanic adds a level of complexity to Pokémon Legends: Arceus as players determine which natures will benefit their Pokémon the most, without sacrificing any of its strengths. While players can use a Hisuian Decidueye with a nature that provides no boosts or hindrances to its stats, the benefit of having a positive-negative nature is just too valuable.

Since Hisuian Decidueye is the final evolved form of Rowlet in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, finding and catching isn’t necessarily required if players chose Rowlet as their starter Pokémon. Even if Rowlet wasn’t chosen as the starter, players can still obtain the Rowlet that they didn’t choose from Professor Laventon after beating Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Alternatively, players can always find and catch a Rowlet, or even Hisuian Decidueye, in the Space-Time Distortions of the Coronet Highlands.

Regardless of how players obtain their Hisuian Decidueye, they may not need to find another one in Pokémon Legends: Arceus if theirs doesn’t have the best nature. Through the use of Nature Mints, players can effectively change any Pokémon’s nature in Legends: Arceus once they’ve completed the farming requests in Jubilife Village. Farming Nature Mints in Pokémon Legends: Arceus does take time and patience, however, as players can only harvest a few mints at a time, and the type of mint that is harvested is completely random. Since there are 25 different natures that a Pokémon can have in Legends: Arceus, there are 25 different Nature Mints that players can farm, but only Adamant and Jolly mints are best for Hisuian Decidueye.

What Nature Is Best For Hisuian Decidueye In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Similar to the types of Nature Mints, the best natures for Hisuian Decidueye in Pokémon Legends: Arceus are Adamant and Jolly. An Adamant nature will raise Hisuian Decidueye’s Attack stat while lowering its Special Attack, while a Jolly nature will raise the Speed stat and lower the Special Attack in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Between the two natures, however, an Adamant nature is a slightly better option for Hisuian Decidueye.

The Agile and Strong combat style in Legends: Arceus allows players to have their Pokémon attack more frequently with less damage, or less frequently with more damage, respectively. Since Hisuian Decidueye’s lowest stat is its Speed stat, it will be hard for it to naturally outspeed most Pokémon as is. By having a Hisuian Decidueye with an Adamant nature, players can increase its Attack stat and reduce the penalty of Agile Style attacks in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
