Pokémon Legends Arceus: Chansey Evolution Guide

In Pokémon Legends Arceus, players may want to evolve their Chansey into Blissey to have a powerful Normal-type Pokémon on their team and work toward completing their Pokédex. But, first, players will either need to find a Chansey in the wild of the Hisui region or find a Happiny and evolve it to a Chansey. Both the evolutions from Happiny to Chansey and Chansey to Blissey require players to fulfill requirements behind the normal evolution requirements of increasing their level.

To find the Happiny, the baby Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Arceus, players can search Obsidian Fieldlands in Oreburrow Tunnel or Obsidian Falls. The small pink and round Pokémon is a rare spawn, so players may need to continue to reload the area in their efforts to find a Happiny. Additionally, Happiny can also be caught in the wild in the Cobalt Coastlands at Hideaway Bay and Alabaster Icelands at Avalanche Slopes and is also a rare spawn at these locations. Once players find a Happiny, there is a chance it could run away, so players should approach with caution and use a berry to distract it before throwing a Poké Ball.

Once players make the catch in Pokémon Legends Arceus, to evolve a Happiny, players will need an evolution item, the Oval Stone. One of the easiest ways to obtain an Oval Stone is to purchase one for 400 Merit Points from the Trading Post in Jubilife Village. Additionally, players may find an Oval Stone inside the Ore Veins or Crystals in the overworld. Oval Stones also can be found by the mount Pokémon Ursaluna while traveling and uncovering treasure.

Where to Find and Evolve Chansey in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

To find a Chansey in the wild of the Hisui region, players should head to the South of the Avalanche Slopes at Alabaster Icelands and find a small cliff. Here, players will have a chance to find a rare spawn of Chansey, which is easily identifiable by its bright pink shade and round shape. Players may want to use a flying mount in Pokémon Legends Arceus to search the area easily. Players should approach Chansey with caution and use berries to distract it. Additionally, there is an Alpha Chansey to the East of Oreburrow Tunnel in the Obsidian Fieldlands region. The Alpha Chansey can be found at the top of the tunnel.

Once players have found a Chansey, either by evolving a Happiny or finding one in the wild, they will need to increase their friendship with it. Players will not know their friendship level with Chansey because it is a hidden stat, but players can unlock the Friendship Checker in Jubilife Village. The best way to increase friendship is to have the Pokémon in the party and use it during battles, collect resources together, and use EXP candy in Pokémon Legends Arceus. Players will know when their friendship is high enough with Chansey to evolve into Blissey when the option to evolve appears. Players will be able to evolve Chansey to Blissey at any time during the day once the friendship requirement is fulfilled.
