Spawning Space-Time Distortions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus does not occur randomly, but at specific intervals, according to recent data. While much of the Hisui region is historically influenced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, there are many reminders that things are amiss with the timeline during gameplay. This includes the large, purple bubbles that appear through region maps and offer players access to rare treasures and special Pokémon spawns.

Space-Time Distortions become available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus after the player calms the Noble Lord Kleavor in the Obsidian Fieldlands. These distortions are announced by a notice at the top of the screen, which will inform a player when one is forming and when it has fully appeared. According to the post, the required wait time for a Space-Time Distortion appearance is determined as soon as a player enters an area or sleeps at a Base Camp. The chances of a rift appearing steadily increase the longer a player spends in the area, with a rift guaranteed to spawn after forty minutes. It also appears that traveling around the map and into different zones resets the timer.

Players looking for Space-Time Distortion spawns in Pokémon Legends: Arceus may want to wait in one location, like the Base Camp, until a distortion appears to prevent accidentally resetting the timer. Once spawned, the distortion will take a minimum of sixty seconds to form, according to the information in the Twitter post, giving players a chance to travel to where it has appeared on the map. While getting the distortion in time can be frustrating during early gameplay, obtaining Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ Ride Pokémon Hisuian Braviary greatly speeds up travel, ensuring players will be able to get into position before the Space-Time Distortion has fully formed. Once ready, players will have about four minutes to catch Pokémon and gather up the treasures that spawn inside.
