Players adventuring in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will need to face many challenging obstacles as they explore the region of Hisui. As members of the Galaxy Team, players will be given requests by various individuals that they can complete for various rewards. Some of these requests can be quick and simple to complete, while others can take a considerable time.

‘Big Buizel, Little Buizel’ (Request 4) is one request players can acquire early in Arceus. In this request, the player is tasked with giving a Buizel larger than 2’8″. Unfortunately, Pokémon height information can only be accessed on Pokémon in the player’s party or at the camp or pasture. This can cause a lot of frustration for players trying to catch large quantities of Buizels to find one tall enough. Players can spend countless Poké Balls on Buizels and still not acquire one tall enough for the quest.

Luckily, the best method for acquiring a large Buizel does not require good luck. Since Alpha Pokémon are inherently larger than their standard counterparts, catching one is a quick and easy solution to this request. Therefore, the most reliable method for completing ‘Big Buizel, Little Buizel’ is to catch an Alpha Buizel in the wild and trade that Pokémon in for the reward.

Where to Find an Alpha Buizel in Pokémon Arceus

For players wanting to find an Alpha Buizel in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they can start their adventure from the Fieldlands Camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands as Buizels often spawn there. Players will want to cross over the bridge to the south at Aspiration Hill, which will require Star Rank 1 or higher with Galaxy Team. After crossing over the bridge, players that travel east along the southern side of the river will find themselves at an isolated hill with a view of the Worn Bridge. On that hill, players can often encounter both the prized Alpha Buizel and a dangerous Alpha Floatzel. These spawns are random so it may not work out the first time, and players may find an Alpha Buizel in other areas around the Worn Bridge.

Players wishing to catch the Alpha Buizel will want to avoid any Alpha Floatzels that could be patrolling the hill, which is likely way too difficult for the player’s party at the start of the game. By skirting around the hill, players can find and capture the Alpha Buizel, a monstrous Pokémon well over four feet tall. Because players can find themselves in combat with multiple Pokémon at once, players may opt into using bait to separate the two Alphas. With this new giant in hand, players can turn the Alpha Buizel in for 5 Oran Berries and an Exp. Candy S.
