In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can find and catch Cyndaquil once they’ve completed the game’s main storyline. Cyndaquil is one of the three choices for starter Pokémon that players have in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, alongside both Rowlet and Oshawott. Although players can only choose one of the three starter Pokémon at the beginning of Legends: Arceus, they’ll have a chance to catch all three once they complete the main story.

Once players choose their starter in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they’ll find the other two choices in Professor Laventon’s office. For players who want to get all three starters as soon as possible, Professor Laventon will give trainers the remaining starter Pokémon after the main Pokémon Legends: Arceus story has been completed. Simply speak with Professor Laventon inside his office to receive the other non-chosen Pokémon from the beginning of the Legends: Arceus, both of which will still be at level five.

Earning the leftover starters in this manner will allow players to get started on their respective Pokédex entries in Legends: Arceus, but it won’t be enough to complete all of the research data. Cyndaquil, along with the other starter Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, needs to be captured five times before the research can be completed. Fortunately, once players beat Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they’ll have access to finding and catching more Cyndaquil by traveling to the Crimson Mirelands.

Where To Catch Cyndaquil In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Although Cyndaquil is a Fire-type, players can find this Pokémon in the Crimson Mirelands by awaiting Space-Time Distortion zones in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The Space-Time Distortion areas, unfortunately, do not have a consistent way to spawn quickly in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. However, multiple players have claimed that Space-Time Distortion areas will spawn far less frequently in areas that have an outbreak going on, so it’s worth checking out and clearing the outbreak as soon as possible.

Additionally, the Crimson Mirelands Space-Time Distortions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus can also spawn Quilava, Hisuian Typhlosion, and even an Alpha Cyndaquil, Quilava, and Typhlosion. However, it is rare for any Space-Time Distortion to have these three Pokémon, let alone an Alpha, so players may have to try multiple Space-Time Distortions in the Crimson Mirelands before catching them. Specifically for Cyndaquil, players can find this Pokémon around the low to mid-50s, allowing players to evolve it right away into Quilava and then Typhlosion. Since Cyndaquil is so rare, players may want to consider completing the other Pokédex research for it before evolving it, as well as catching as many Cyndaquil as possible.
