Gligar and Gliscor are two of Pokémon’s most recognized Pocket Monsters from the anime, games, and competitive seen, and players can find and catch both of them in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Gligar is a Pokémon that was initially introduced in Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Gold, and Gliscor was later included as an evolution to Gligar in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. As the Hisui region is supposed to be the very early establishment of the Sinnoh region seen in Diamond and Pearl, it only makes sense that players would be able to find both these Pokémon in the wild.

Both Gligar and Gliscor are Ground- and Flying-type Pokémon, an interesting dual-type combination that sees both Pokémon lose resistances and weaknesses to various types while receiving a 4x damage weakness to Ice-type Pokémon. However, unlike Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players won’t be able to obtain either Gligar or Gliscor until much later in the game. Additionally, while players can find and catch both Pokémon, it is also easier to evolve Gligar into Gliscor in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can find Gligar in the Coronet Highlands across Clamberclaw Cliffs, Celestica Ruins, Cloudgap Pass, and Primeval Grotto. Additionally, Gligar can also be found in the Alabaster Iceland locations of Glacier Terrace and Aren’s Approach. However, Gliscor can only be found and captured in the Primeval Grotto. While Gliscor’s limited availability in the wild makes it more challenging to capture, the Gliscor in the Primeval Grotto is an Alpha Pokémon in Legends: Arceus and players can find it Pokémon on level 77.

How To Evolve Gligar Into Gliscor in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

In previous games, players could only evolve Gligar into Gliscor if they found a Razor Fang and leveled up the Pokémon at night. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players no longer need to level up Gligar at night to evolve it into Gliscor while holding the Razor Fang, partly because Pokémon held items aren’t a mechanic in Legends: Arceus. Instead, players will need to have a Razor Fang in their inventory and use it on Gligar at night. Using the Razor Fang on Gligar rather than giving it to the Pokémon as a held item is very similar to how evolution stones like the Dawn Stone work in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and games before it.

Finding a Razor Fang can be done in a couple of ways, both of which are fairly simple in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Players either need to catch a Gligar, at which point it will drop the Razor Fang after being caught, or save up enough Merit Points and purchase a Razor Fang at the Trading Post. Save up enough Merit Points, and soon enough, players will easily have a Gligar evolve into Gliscor on their team in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available for Nintendo Switch.
