Apricorns make a return in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the first time in several entries. Initially making its debut back in Pokémon Gold and Silver for the Nintendo Gameboy Color, Apricorns are an item used to make Poké Balls in Legends Arceus. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, trainers are tasked with finding every Pokémon in the region for Arceus. Capturing Pokémon has been a big push for this entry from the very beginning. As the Pokédex fills up, the player will unlock new areas around the Hisui region. Fortunately, crafting is an ability that is unlocked fairly early on.

After completing the ‘Basics of Crafting’ mission, trainers will unlock the Galaxy Team’s Entry Trial. This will finally give players access to the Poké Ball recipe which requires players to gather crafting materials. To craft more Poké Balls, trainers need to combine Apricorns with Tumblestone in Pokémon Legends: ArceusAs players progress, they’ll unlock access to other types of Poké Ball recipes, including Great Balls, Ultra Balls, Heavy Balls, and more. Since Apricorns are a crafting material, they will spawn all around the Hisui region waiting to be collected. However, a few specific places work best for finding more Apricorns.

Apricorns are one of the first crafting materials players will come across in the game, and trainers will be able to find them throughout the Obsidian Fieldlands. There will be trees full of different types of berries in this area. Trainers looking to collect Apricorns will need to gather items from the trees with yellow leaves and brown Apricorns. Sending out a Pokémon nearby the tree will cause them to attack it, and the Apricorns will fall. Players can then collect the fallen Apricorns and use them to craft more Poké Balls.

Trainers should wait until they have unlocked access to Wyrdeer. It was one of the new Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that evolves from Stantler. Once it’s available, trainers will be able to ride it to get around the map faster. It’s much quicker than walking around, and players won’t have to worry about their stamina running low when riding a Wyrdeer. It’s important to mention that players cannot send out their Pokémon while riding on Wyrdeer.

The player will need to dismount, which shouldn’t be too difficult since it’s just a press of the plus button to send out Pokémon. It’s recommended to make space in the satchel before hunting for more Apricots. Since the item storage is limited in the early game, making space will make it easier to get a lot of Apricorns in one visit out in the wilds. Eventually, the player will get access to the portable crafting kit, allowing them to craft items without needing to go to a camp. Grabbing as many of them while exploring and crafting Poké Balls on the fly is ideal for trainers looking to complete the Pokédex and unlock the Shiny Charm as soon as possible.
