Ahead of the launch of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, almost all of the new Hisuian Pokémon variants have leaked, along with their types. Legends: Arceus takes place in the distant past, set in the Pokémon region of Hisui, known in later Pokémon games as Sinnoh. Like many titles in the longstanding franchise, the region has its own pocket monster variants, which have mostly been kept under wraps.

Warning: This article contains potential spoilers for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Expanding the roster of catchable monsters, regional Pokémon variants are different types of Pokémon that have changed to suit different climates and locations. Regional variants serve a few purposes, not only offering fans of specific pocket monsters the chance to capture different versions of them, but also furthering and deepening the game’s lore and world. Some of the most popular variants are Alolan, which are often praised for their cute and summery designs. Thanks to the endless possibilities of variants, fans have taken to designing their own Pokémon regional variants with fanart designs including pirates and more.

Nintendo has perhaps not released as much information on Pokémon Arceus: Legends as expected, with many fans still in the dark on its gameplay, world, and new mechanics. While the game was first believed to be the open-world Pokémon game many fans have been waiting for, it was later confirmed not to be the case, with the title instead following a mission/level-based structure. Players will be tasked with completing the region’s very first Pokédex, and will be able to mount pocket monsters as they travel. The game is believed to be somewhat similar to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, though fans have seen limited gameplay showcasing the upcoming title.

It’s not yet clear whether CentroLeaks’ leaked list of Pokémon Arceus: Legends Hisuian variants is correct, but players won’t have long to find out for themselves. The game is set to release on January 28, with players soon able to experience Hisui and meet its Pokémon in just a matter of days. Until then, it’s possible more Pokémon Legends: Arceus details will leak online, with those looking for a fresh and unspoiled experience advised to use the internet with caution to avoid spoilers.
