In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players will want to find the elusive crafting ingredient Sand Radishes to create a dish that can significantly boost a Pokémon’s power in battle. The newly introduced crafting mechanic in this Pokémon installment encourages players to forage for local goods to craft everything they need, from Poké Balls to food. Sand Radishes are a spicy-sweet vegetable that, despite its name, cannot be found in sand.

The snowy terrain of Alabaster Icelands is where players will find Sand Radishes, more specifically in Heart’s Crag. Before stocking up on the crafting ingredient, players may want to expand their inventory in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to ensure they have sufficient storage space. According to the in-game item description, Sand Radishes were previously native to sandy beaches but are hardy enough to grow in frozen soil. Players should search for blue leaves and a silk-white stalk. The plants are easiest to spot during the day, but the blue leaves are still visible even at night.

Once players arrive at Heart’s Crag in Alabaster Icelands, they will discover there are only four Sand Radishes to be harvested. If players need to collect more, they will need to exit the region and return after making camp to respawn the radishes. Players may want to use a Pokémon mount in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to quickly search the area. Of note, players are likely to encounter Pokémon of level 50 and higher when searching for Sand Radishes, so they should prepare their battle team accordingly.

Finding Sand Radishes And How To Craft With Them in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

As players progress through the story, they will unlock more Ginkgo Guild Merchants. These merchants can be found often at Jubilife Village and occasionally at Base Camps. Once players have unlocked the Alabaster Icelands region, these merchants will begin to offer Sand Radishes in exchange for 800 coins. Additionally, players who complete the quest ‘Mushroom Hunting with Swinub’ will be rewarded with Sand Radishes.

Once players have harvested Sand Radishes, they will need to unlock crafting recipes in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to cook with them. The quest ‘The Perfect Pickle Recipe’ will be given to the player by the NPC Radisa at Jubilife Village. She will request 2x Sand Radish, 2x King’s Leaf, 2x Crunchy Salt, and 2x Plump Beans. Once players have unlocked the quest and provided Radisa will her required ingredients, she will gift them the recipe for Twice-Spiced Radishes. The recipe will be the same as the items requested from Radisa, 2x Sand Radish, 2x King’s Leaf, 2x Crunchy Slat, and 2x Plump Beans.

Crafting the Twice-Spiced Radishes dish will increase a Pokémon’s battle power by 50% during battle for a limited time. While the radishes may be hard to find, the extra power boost is especially beneficial against Alpha or Noble Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. To craft this dish, players can use a Crafting Table, which is available at all of the in-game Base Camps and in front of the Crafting Store in Jubilife Village. Alternatively, players can craft on the go using their portable crafting kit in the Key Items menu in their inventory.
