Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Where to Find Dawn Stone (& What It’s For)

Dawn Stones can be obtained in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by visiting the Trading Post in Jubilife Village or exploring the Hisui region to find it. The Dawn Stone is used for evolving certain Pokémon, so players will need to obtain a few stones in order to complete their Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The easiest way to obtain a Dawn Stone is earning Merit Points and using them at the Trading Post.

To earn Merit Points, players will need to have their internet turned on in the Internet Connection menu. Merit Points are awarded to players who find and return Lost Satchels in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Players can access the Lost and Found menu to find information about Lost Satchels, and returning them will grant 50 to 100 Merit Points each. Players will need a total of 1,200 Merit Points to purchase a Dawn Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

For players that don’t want to save up Merit Points, they can explore areas of the Hisui region and use the Ursaluna mount ability to find hidden objects. Ursaluna is a rideable Pokémon that players can unlock by defeating an Ursaluna as part of a quest in the Crimson Mirelands. Once unlocked, players can ride Ursaluna and follow the indicator in front of it to find hidden items around Hisui in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Using the Dawn Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Players will need a Dawn Stone to evolve a male Kirlia into Gallade. Kirlia can be caught in the Shrouded Ruins, Snowpoint Temple, or Heart’s Crag. Players may need to reset the area a few times to find and catch Pokémon Legends: Arceus‘s Kirlia. Alternatively, players can find a male Ralts in the same areas as Kirlia, but they will need to get it to level 20 to evolve it. Players can then have their male Kirlia hold the Dawn Stone to evolve it into Gallade.

The other Pokémon that evolves using a Dawn Stone is a female Snorunt. To obtain a Froslass, players will need to catch a female Snorunt in Whiteout Valley, Bonechill Wastes, Avalugg’s Legacy, or Avalanche Slopes. Players can either approach Snorunt cautiously and throw a Pokéball at it right away or battle it to drain its health and then catch it. After catching a female Snorunt, players can give it a Dawn Stone to hold so it will evolve in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Players will need to evolve both male Kirlia and female Snorunt using a Dawn Stone to complete their Pokédex. Filling in every Pokédex entry in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will help players progress in the story and grow as a member of the Galaxy Team. The Dawn Stone is an essential item for players that want to complete their Pokédex and obtain Frolass and Gallade in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
