Galarian Slowpoke was actually introduced to players early on as promotional material for the upcoming Pokemon Sword & Shield Expansion Pass DLC. With this DLC, the player will be given two separate DLC. The Isle of Armor, which releases this June, and the Crown Tundra, which is set to release later this Winter. Galarian Slowpoke was given to players to get them excited for the upcoming DLC. By speaking to a certain NPC, players could collect the Galarian Slowpoke. It was stated that the player would be unable to evolve it until the DLC released. Here’s how players can evolve Galarian Slowpoke in Pokemon Sword & Shield.

How To Evolve Galarian Slowpoke in Pokemon Sword & Shield

To evolve Galarian Slowpoke, players will need to have purchased the Pokemon Sword & Shield Expansion Pass. It has been stated that players will be able to find an item to evolve Galarian Slowpoke while playing through the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra. The Isle of Armor will give the player an item to get Galarian Slowbro while the Crown Tundra will give the player the item to get Galarian Slowking. While it is currently unknown how players can get these items in the DLC, the game sets it up so getting the item won’t be too difficult. More information is set to release this June.

Pokemon Sword & Shield is one of the best selling Pokemon titles to date, regardless of the controversy surrounding it. Players were upset to find that not every Pokemon would be available in the game. Although with the upcoming DLC, players will be able to bring over 200 older Pokemon from Pokemon Home. This brings the grand total of available Pokemon to over 600. Movements have taken place online such as #BringBackNationalDex. While the conversation around this has died down, it will likely return in the near future when the first part of the DLC releases.

Pokemon Sword & Shield are available now on Nintendo Switch.
