In preparation for Halloween, the Pokémon Trading Card Game has released the Trick or Trade BOOster pack this September. The set features holographic cards with a Pikachu Pumpkin stamp themed for the spooky season. Despite the fact that each card in the set is exclusive because of this stamp, some are more valuable than others.

In the Pokémon TCG, investors seek to collect merchandise they can then flip for a price higher than the retail price. In some cases, investors seek sealed items like Elite Trainer Boxes, but more recently, they have been interested in searching for rare, valuable cards. One of the most sought-after of these is the Pokémon TCG Base Set 1st Edition Holo-Charizard, a mouthful of a card that can net an investor $420,000. This goes to show just how much value collectors and investors see in Pokémon cards, especially classic ones.

However, other exclusive Pokémon TCG cards like those in the Trick or Trade BOOster packs can also be worth a lot. At the current moment, the cards hold little value due to their large supply and recent release. However, certain cards can reward investors a net gain on the BOOster packs if they receive them in high enough quantity.

The Legendaries & Mythics Of The Pokémon TCG BOOster Pack

Mewtwo is unsurprisingly one of the more valuable cards in the Trick or Trade BOOster pack. The Holo-Rare promo card features the Pikachu Pumpkin stamp, making it a unique card despite the artwork being a reprint. The card goes for anywhere between $2 and $4, but this is of course likely to increase in the future as supply decreases.

The mythical Gen 4 Pokémon Darkrai is very similar to Mewtwo. Darkrai is a Holo-Rare with the Pikachu Pumpkin stamp and goes for around $3 to $4 on eBay. This makes Darkrai slightly more than Mewtwo on average but not more than the most valuable cards in the pack.

Pikachu & His Copycat In The Trick Or Trade BOOster Pack

Pikachu is one of the most valuable cards in the Trick or Trade Booster pack despite being a Common card. This is because the art for Pikachu is original to the set. With the added Pumpkin Pikachu stamp, the card is wholly unique and thus desirable for collectors.

However, Pikachu’s copycat Mimikyu is the most valuable card in the set, averaging at around $4 to $5 on eBay currently. Though it is a reprint, the art has never been featured as a Holo-Rare. With the strong ability “Heal Jamming” and the red Pikachu Pumpkin stamp too, the card has become the most valuable Pokémon TCGTrick or Trade BOOster pack cards.
