Poppy Playtime’s Kissy Missy Could Be Chapter 3’s Main Monster

Chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime has a new trailer that depicts Mommy Long Legs as its main monster, but Kissy Missy could appear in Chapter 3 next. Although Chapter 3 has not been confirmed, Poppy Playtime‘s success means that it could go on for quite some time. Huggy Wuggy’s pink counterpart hasn’t made an official appearance in the games yet, but when and if Chapter 3 comes, it could be the primary antagonist.

Poppy Playtime‘s monsters are inspired by classic toys such as Betty Spaghetti and Raggedy Anne. In the game, players explore an abandoned toy factory with the goal of freeing Poppy, a mysterious doll programmed to be highly intelligent. Along the way, they must evade Huggy Wuggy, a blue horror who wants nothing more than to see them dead. The Playtime Co. factory made many other toys, however, among them Mommy Long Legs and Kissy Missy. Not much is known about Kissy Missy at the moment, save that she’s Huggy Wuggy’s “better half.“

It’s too soon to say exactly what will even be in Chapter 2, given that there’s no release date yet, so Chapter 3 predictions are likely to be anything but accurate. Still, Kissy Missy has been shown in Chapter 1, even if only in the form of posters. Unless there’s another monster introduced in Chapter 2, then Kissy Missy is the most likely candidate for now. Players may end up running from a monster that’s familiar but (hopefully) new at the same time as they navigate the halls of Playtime Co.

Will Kissy Missy Be In Chapter 3?

Kissy Missy is the female counterpart to Huggy Wuggy, the main villain of Poppy Playtime Chapter 1. According to the game’s lore, she was released a year after him following his immediate success. Before playing Poppy Playtime, players should read lore for the game, at least a little bit, so that they can familiarize themselves with its monsters. Just like Huggy Wuggy has long arms and is built to hug, Kissy Missy’s name implies that she’s meant to kiss. She does not appear in-person in the games, only in the form of posters scattered throughout Playtime Co. Her personality is also somewhat uptight, as the lore states that she’s a “beacon of Playtime Co. policies and won’t hold back on letting the people know about it.“

The dolls of Playtime Co. are anything but cuddly, as players of the game know. The full story of how Huggy Wuggy turned into a terrifying monster is so far unknown, but it’s implied that horrific experiments were carried out using them and the employees of the Playtime Co. factory. What happened to Poppy Playtime‘s Playtime Co. employees has not been revealed, but it doesn’t sound pleasant. Kissy Missy is presumably the same way, having more than a few secrets stuffed underneath that pink furry coat. Whether or not she’ll hunt down the player in Chapter 3 of the game is impossible to say for certain, but it’s certainly possible.

Although it’s possible that Kissy Missy is the antagonist of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, it’s also possible that she’s not. She could play a role in Chapter 2, leaving Chapter 3 open for a new villain. She could also be an ally to the player instead of an enemy, and help them evade the other monsters. If Huggy Wuggy isn’t Poppy Playtime‘s Experiment 1006, then it could be her instead.
