Every series of Power Rangers had one main objective. Save the world and innocent lives from treacherous villains. Each series had its memorable foes and monsters. This was certainly true for Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. The show’s villains were demons that were trapped years ago by a powerful sorcerer, making them unique.

They’re let loose and plan to destroy Mariner Bay at the bidding of Queen Bansheera. In every episode, the Rangers had to defeat one of her heinous monsters brought to life by Jinxster. There were some monsters and even main villains that sent chills down the spines of fans. Some of them had riveting storylines and powers and gave the Rangers a hard time defeating.

10 Ghouligan

Ghouligan was a memorable monster because he’s the first that the Rangers face as a team and served as the primary villain in the pilot episode. Carter first sees him while rescuing a little girl from a fire before he’s recruited by Lightspeed. Ghouligan was a perfect test for the new Rangers.

He was arrogant, spiteful, and plain evil. Ghouligan was a fire demon and had the ability to use fireballs and charge his body to create a Mega Flame. He gave the Rangers a run for their money but believing the Rangers were cowards led to his defeat.

9 Magmavore

In the end, he was defeated by the Lightspeed Megazord. In a later episode, he’s resurrected by Queen Bansheera alongside another monster. This time he was more powerful as he was resurrected in an advanced form. He causes distress as he put Ms.Fairweather and other workers at risk in the volcano they were trapped in. He sets off the volcano before the Rangers destroy him with a Turbine Super Charge.

8 Fireor

Fireor was a primary antagonist in “A Matter of Trust.” This was the first monster created by Baby Impus. He proved to be a powerful monster when he defeats one of Bansheera’s followers, Loki. Impressed, Diabolico sends him to retrieve a power cell being transported by the Rangers.

To destroy the city, he creates a ring of fire that drew heat and the sun’s powers making the city a scorching firepit. He also had the ability to use fireballs and almost beats the Rangers. But he’s defeated when they use the Ladder Arms against him and finish him off with the Megazord Sabre.

7 Aquafiend

Over the course of the show, certain episodes were dedicated to one Ranger. “Neptune’s Daughter” was all about the Blue Ranger helping stop Diabolical from getting Neptune’s Trident. The main monster was Aquafiend, who lives deep in a lagoon.

He manages to steal the trident and uses it to drain all the water in Mariner Bay. Aquafiend was a challenge for the Rangers when he was enlarged and had control over the trident. The storyline with the monster also prompted a small romance between Chad and Marina, Neptune’s daughter. In the end, Aquafiend is destroyed.

6 Demonite, Thunderon & Falkar

Fans of the series will vividly recall the introduction of these three monsters. Their storyline became important as it led to the Titanium Ranger becoming good and joining Lightspeed. They were Diabolico’s last three and most powerful monster cards. This group of monsters became the Ranger’s toughest enemy.

They used innocent-looking feathers that would explode at sundown over Mariner Bay. The Rangers are unable to stop them and are greatly wounded. They are aided by Ryan and the monsters retreat. But they return with a new trick up their sleeves. With a mirror card, they created a clone of Demonite. This led to a hair-raising scene that almost cost Carter his life saving the others.

5 Troika

Demonite, Thrunderon, and Falker became one of the most memorable trios of monsters even after they were initially defeated. This is because they came back even stronger but this time combined into one. In “The Cobra Strikes,” the monsters were converted into crystals that Diabolico used to create Troika.

Combined, Troika became an undefeatable monster and even deflected the Rangers Spectra Blast. In another encounter, the Rangers are no match for them and their power. Ms. Fairweather calls them to use their new Battle Boosters. With their new tool, they defeated them once and for all with a Battle Booster Beam Attack.

4 Cobra Incarnate

While Ryan may have made his decision to fight for good with Lightspeed, Diabolico still had control over him. In a dream, Ryan is chained to a pillar and Diabolica gives him a farewell gift. A cobra tattoo will rise up his back every time he uses his Titanium Morpher until it reached his neck and kills him.

Ryan ventures to the tomb where the demons were imprisoned. He finds the statue of Cobra Incarnate, it comes to life, and Ryan battles him to destroy his curse. At first, Cobra gets an upper hand until Ryan uses his Titanium Axe to destroy the pillar, crushing Cobra for good.

3 Prince Olympius

Prince Olympius is first known as Impus. He was an infant created by the demons in Queen Bansheera’s absence. Diabolica saw him as a threat as Bansheera promised to give his Star Power to her son if he failed. After Diabolic’s death, he transforms into his mature warrior form.

In his first encounter with the Rangers, they are no match for him, and he even gains access to the Aquabase and assumes their forms. Olympius came close to defeating the Rangers and getting rid of Vypra and the others. When trapped in the Shadow World, he absorbed the powers of the demons to become powerful. In the end, he is betrayed by his mother and is resurrected with Diabolico but is destroyed by the Lightspeed Rangers.

2 Queen Bansheera

Queen Bansheera was a force to be reckoned with. For the majority of the show, she was only a demon spirit while her henchmen did all the work. But she still proved to be vile and evil. She didn’t care for her son and only saw him as a pawn for her grand plan. She even turns against Diabolico.

When she almost regains her full form, she destroys Vypra to use her demon energy. Fans can vividly recall her shrill laugh and her grotesque monster form, complete with sharp teeth and tentacles. Hellbent on rebuilding her palace, she is defeated by the Rangers with aid of Diabolico and forever trapped in the Shadow World.

1 Diabolico

Diabolico was Queen Banishera’s right-hand man when it came to taking over Mariner Bay. He was a powerful demon with a Star Power that Queen Bansheera threatened to take from him after his failures. After the destruction of Troika, Diabolico enlarged himself but ended up being destroyed. He is revied by Vypra and Loki.

In a turn of events, Queen Bansheera takes over Diabolica’s body forcing him to kill his friend, Loki. This is a turning point for him as he becomes an anti-hero and helps the Rangers find her weak spots. But he is again put under her control but manages to give Carter the key to the Tomb. His final act was returning in his spirit form after his death to save Carter and dragging Bansheera to the Shadow World.
