Warning! Spoilers ahead for Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #1!

In Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #1, President Superman shows off a neat new costume trick. Over the years, the different versions of Superman have had many suits. Introducing new costumes has become a comic book convention as readers expect changes to occur throughout the series’ runs. Although superheroes sometimes have costume changes out of the blue, most new suits are often made when the circumstance is right. For instance, when Superman lost his powers in the past, he got a new costume called the Power Armor in order to protect Metropolis even as a human.

President Superman has a huge part to play in DC’s near future. He is the leader of Justice Incarnate, the multiverse’s Justice League, who act as the ever-expanding Omniverse’s first line of defense against any incoming threats. The idea behind Secret Files issues is to give readers a better insight into key characters of upcoming line-wide events, such as the new Infinite Frontier miniseries. This issue, which is available in comic book stores now, explores President Superman in further detail.

In Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #1 by Joshua Willamson, Brandon Thomas, Valentine De Landro, Marissa Louise, and Triona Farrell, President Superman shows off a new secret costume. His daily routine consists of fighting bad guys and being the president. Every small threat he faces in the city is seen as a hindrance to his day, as he runs off of a very strict schedule. One of those threats comes in the form of an unknown green-skinned villain who is never named. He punches President Superman in the face, causing him to fall to his knees. Then out of nowhere President Superman switches to an armored costume!

It’s an effective trick that works incredibly well. Somehow President Superman’s suit is able to appear over him in an instant! The technology used to materialize an entire secret costume seems very advanced, which suggests that Earth-42 is more developed than Earth-0. President Superman’s mecha suit is reminiscent of Superman’s Power Armor, as mentioned before. It’s likely that just like Superman’s Power Armor, President Superman is able to become stronger with the suit as he easily knocks out his assailant with one punch.

Having a secret costume at the ready like this would be highly beneficial to Clark Kent. Furthermore, it’s also possible that the suit is resistant to Kryptonite, given that it’s tailored-made for President Superman and covers the whole body. Therefore, it would be ideal to always have the option to switch super suits, no matter what the situation. President Superman has a lot of work cut out for him as Darkseid arrives with his army of villains inInfinite Frontier. It’s not going to be easy, but at least President Superman has a few tricks up his sleeve which could prove useful when the time comes.
